That is one might fine looking guitar Zurf, but I think it is looking a little peaky. I am sure a long weekend in Florida next month will do it the power of good.

I think I need to add to the collection. I only have 8.

English is the second language here (the area relies heavily on tourism) and is taught in schools. Most of my students are Portuguese but they generally prefer English/American music, however I do make sure they do learn some songs in their native tongue.

Written Spanish and Portuguese look similar but their pronunciation is completely different and they generally cannot understand each other.

Raquel is a great kid and this is the first solo recording that she has made, you can see her eyes glancing down and to the right for her lyrics. I spent my time pulling faces and making gestures at her to make her smile and I love her, completely unrehearsed, double thumbs up at the end.

Here is my 'Girl Saturday', Raquel, who works with me for two hours every Saturday for her guitar lessons. It is great having all the guitars in tune and my own personal translator when a non-English speaking person comes in or phones.

The Baby Dean in the opening clip is the one I bought her for my birthday last year.

In the dim recesses of my brain I was sure this has been brought up before Jerry. This links will take you to the discussion that I think answers your question:

Just checking.

You do know that there is a limit of 100 songs per songbook. Get to 100 and you cannot add any more and have to start another book.

This may not be relevant but it does not appear to have been mentioned.

Bump!!

A conversation between Amy and Bill made me think that Bill might like to receive the parcel if it is still doing the rounds. Just a thought.

Here in the Algarve it is around 15 deg C (59 F). Been somewhat cloudy today but sunshine for the next few days is forecast.

No problem Bill. As we found out, with over half a million registered users, to find something that has not been taken can be a little difficult. But we got there.

Out of curiosity, do you still have access to your Songbook, or did you lose it with the change?

Roger

I would love to see Toney performing, if I do not drown swimming over. lol

Bill,

I have not received an e-mail from you. I have now sent two to the e-mail address listed in your profile. Is it right?

Dino, I have added one in your post so you can click on 'Edit' to see how it is done. Also read Amy's 'Sticky' about adding a photos.

You should be seeing something like this with the 'ADD' to Songbook shown.

Hi Bill,

You cannot, but I can change your username however there is a chance that you might lose any Songbooks you have. Please send me a private message and we sort it out for you.

Probably be a world record. I say go for it. smile

OK I have bought some swimming trunks and started taking lessons. I can now get from one end of the pool to the other (as long as I start at the deep end so I can stand if I don't quite make it). I wonder how long it will take me and when should I start swimming to get there on time?

Roger

I see that Amy has probably answered your query better than I. You did not say you were trying to export to an external software programme called Songbook and , as I have never heard of it, I did not know smile

Roger

Once you have imported songs into your songbook and you click on 'My songbook' you will see a page similar to mine shown below. As you can see I do not use the default My Songbook but haver renamed one as Roger's Songbook with 31 songs and another as Temp with 64 songs for my work in progress songs.

I can then click on any song I have in there, edit, correct, transpose and save to print out or use from my laptop as I wish. Copy and paste are not needed within Chordie.

I have a feeling that you are trying to do, or expecting Chordie to do, something different.

It had crossed my mind but in my opinion the only problem would be if the guitar top warped. Most of the tension is along the string so I think that the torsion on the bridge will be minimal and well within a guitar's design limits, but only time will tell. smile

I wish you guys would not keep putting these fancy do-dads up on here!!

First it was Russ with his automatic tuners; my Fender Strat went and ordered itself one and now it is Tenenment Funster with his Power pins. My Tanglewood acoustic has gone and ordered itself a set of these.

I am banning my guitars from e-bay and Amazon.
