I  think   I  gave  about  £600  for  it   about  4 yrs  ago  not  sure  though  as  it  was  part  of  a  job lot  with bazoukis  and  banjos from a  dealer  in the  UK

Thanks  for  the  comments  on YouTube Bill ,made  me smile.
Re  the  weight  of resonators  ,the  one in the  vids  has  a  wooden body  and  is  pretty  light but  I  have  a  gold  plated  Steel bodied  one  which   weighs   very  heavy  but  sounds  and  looks  amazing .I  also have  a  resonator  bouzouki   which  is  nickel  plated both  came  from Ozark  guitars  in the  UK  and  I  believe  were  made  originally as display models ,although  a  few  weeks  ago  I  came  across  a  very similar  guitar  in York which  was  gold  plated  but  it  had  no  pickup  or  the  ornate  mother  of  pearl inlays  which mine  has

Cant  wait  to  hear   it  Bill  I'd give  it  a  shot at  putting a  tune  to it  but  Ive  got   the  Pickering  Beer  festival  to  play  at  and  two  gigs   for  the  we shall overcome  events  and  then I  think  were   back  to  Greece  for  a  few  weeks to tie  up  the  loose  ends  there .So  realistically it  will  be  mid November  before  I  have  any  spare  time.

Cant  wait  for  Saturdays  gig  at  the  Pickering Beer  festival   when I  will be  reunited  with  two of  my  favourite  guitars  from my  collection in Crete. Thanks to  Kev Jones shipping  them back  for me .My  old  Eko ranger 6  which  I've  had  for  46 years  and  my Governor resonator  which has  been my  go to resonator  for  about  15yrs ,Time  to  play  the  blues .

Me and  Bobby  Magee  when I  used  to  play  with  Cindy Scholl  in Greece

I  think  being compared  to  a  successful artist  is  a  great  compliment  in most  cases and  it  often  shows  where   your  influences  have  come  from and   despite  what  some  might  say  we  all  have  influences   ,sometimes  these  are  submerged  either  on purpose  or  un intentionally  but  they  are there all  the  same ,I  would  say  my  influences  come  from a lot  of  the  60s uk  blues bands  ,Lou Reed , Pink Floyd  and  Jimmy   Hendrix , but  as  I  have  a  strong  back ground  in uk  folk  music  then sometimes influences  from  artists  like  Steel eye  span  ,Fairport convention and  Mike  Harding  often show  up in my acoustic   stuff.

my  wife  pam   had  hers  done  last  month  no  problem .

Got to agree with Bill re the chorus and bridge as part of the structure of the song it helps to engage the listener  especialy in a long song I'd like to hear a guitar version  mainly because I'm not a great fan of the uke for a serious ballad like this one, having said all this I do like the content and your delivery ,your voice is good and has a distinctive tone .Very well done

Mazzy  Ive  emailed  you  a  demo hope  you  like  it ,

The  Settle  Victoria  hall    has  kindly  given me  and  the  band    a  Saturday night  spot  in November   we  plan to  offer support  slots  to  local bands  .The  hall  is  a  great  venue  and  run purely  by  volunteers    who  do  a  great  job  providing   entertainment  to  the  area .
After  placing  an ad  on face  book  I  was  inundated   by   a  host  of  "how  much  are  you  paying " replys
.Sure  its  great   to  play  and  get  payed  but  when   you  are  offering   an  opportunity  to  new or  inexperienced  acts a chance  to  play  on a  real stage  in a  real theatre  ,I  dont  understand  the  responses .
I  want to  play and  support  the  theatre and  I  don't  get  payed  for  this ,I see  it  as  a  service  to  the  community
Any way  I'll get  down  off  my  soap  box .
If  any  one  from Chordie  wants  a  slot  its  a  rock  and  blues  night  give  me an  email  with  a demo ,You  wont  get  payed  but  youll  have  a  blast

Nice  song  Mojo ,I  would  like to  hear  your  voice  a little  more to  the  front  in the  mix ,You  have  a  great  voice  and  it  just  seems  to get a little buried  by  the  guitar .

Roger /Bj this  the  original  version https://soundcloud.com/graham-windle/riverside-cafe   Its  a  bit  clearer  I  think I  posted  the  lyrics  a  while back ,Basically  it  tells  the  story  of  a road side  in the  60s  and  what  used  to  go  on there .One   of  my  friends crashed  and  died  on this  road  but  it  was  a  long  time  after  the  cafe  closed .
