beamer don't think I will get that many but you never know to me a guitar is a voice with strings but it don't hurt to have a pretty face to go with it smile

Whew! the end of the Packers game got a little dicey the Falcons and Ryan were really hot the second half especially J Jones over 250 yards receiving but he got hurt on a hit and was not able to play in the last and deciding minutes, Aaron Rogers showed why he is rated as a possible MVP the offense put up over 500 yards tough for any team to win with those numbers so now it's on to Buffalo on a short week no time to relax its crunch time.

Russell I looked at musicans friend and sweetwater this morning and one of them had a sale on stands for about $5.00. The more I see that color the more I like it,reminds me of a green they used on cars in the sixties.

That is a good deal they come in handy especially when practicing or recording, I have never seen a guitar with this color of green cars yes I am thinking about a mint green pickguard and gold hardware that would be a hot combo. smile

I ordered it this evening, on an unrelated item I took my blue strat neck off and the bridge and tinkered with the string height adjusting the tress rod, springs and saddles after about 4 hours I finely hit the right combination that is low and fast and no buzz I also put on my older rosewood neck and it made all the difference that is why I have a new maple neck to put on my new build. Unlike my other Strat with single coils this one is the HSS two single coils and a double coil humbucking pickup and the tone variations are very nice some adjusting to the intonation was necessary to have the harmonics equally in tune all the way up the neck the height above the fretboard is less then a credit card and no buzz just FAST smile

Thanks guys, one of my students dropped by and gave me a Christmas present 2 very sturdy guitar stands for when I practice or record and 3 pickups from his Fender Strat he had new hot coils installed so all I need is a pickguard and jack plug and screws and I am good to go smile

I have an extra maple neck with Fender locking tuners, it is new and I was looking for a body and came across this on Guitarfettish for $79.95 I absolutely love the color, I also have and extra Wilkerson tremolo and spare pots and caps so the wiring is no problem but I will need to get a pick guard and some pickups, screws but that's about it. I love tinkering with guitars and I decided to build another. smile

I worked on my Strat for a couple of hours and took an afternoon nap intending to watch the Wisconsin, Ohio game later I woke at 8:15 pm with a few minutes into the second quarter it was 24 ZIP! the Badgers were taking a pounding I turned it off and got into something meaningful I will check on it later Ohio just looks awesome both on defense and offense it would take a miracle to catch up in the second half like wining the lottery but I will look later to confirm this disaster sad

I am going to try and install the Stetsbar tremolo on the Les Paul it was designed for it I will see how it works out.

Don't say things like that in hearing distance of 'Uncle Sam' (her name smile ) she might get ideas about a different whammy bar......

No need to worry I mounted it back on the Douglass and put some heavy guage strings on I will use this for slide and maybe some lead work but the Les Paul will remain a untouched virgin I decided it don't need nothing its perfect they way it is smile

Yes it can be set for alternative tunings, but I have not yet learnt enough about standard tunings to want to get into that.

The only downfall with it is that there is not a proper instruction manual with it but one can be downloaded from their website.

Roger

Same with the Gforce I had to download a pdf file that explained everything I printed out the most important things I needed and put them in a folder for easy access. I am going to try and install the Stetsbar tremolo on the Les Paul it was designed for it I will see how it works out.

It is a great addition. OK it is not that cheap, but tuning and keeping in tune is an absolute doddle.

It is also fun to de-tune it just to watch the tuners turn themselves lol

Roger

Yes it is lol I get a kick out of it, dose this tuner also feature stored tunings like DAGDAD or Drop D like the Gforce on my LP?

I have been using the same effects for over 10 years Boss ME-50 tons of different overdrive choices stereo chorus.tremolo.even a wah delay reverb just so much to choose from I discover new sounds each time I use it and it works really nice with my slide playing. There are lots of choices for getting that sweet sustaining tone with some bite and delay ala Joe Walsh or Jeff Beck but you have to search for it once you do find it you'll know.
