G'Day Richard
For some reason, I'm not able to see the other pictures. Can you help?
Thanks
Bill
Looks like Facebook have been playing with their picture algorithm ... this is the first one:

I'll sort out the others later as we're just on our way out ...

Which is a good guitar to buy if I want to start learning
You'll probably get a better response if you start a topic on the question ...
Here's the vid I followed about using a Bounce sheet. I didn't know it was just wax, Beamer ... great info. I've got a block of paraffin in my workshop, so I'll try that.
Thanks for that - I've never seen that problem before!!

Hey Richard, have been busily writing up the links for songs for everyone for this month and realised I hadn`t replied to your helpful message and links, so sorry about that and thanks for this cheers
No drama ... !!

July will be tax time - songs that mention money (or lack of!), or tax!!
Sorry I didn't give you the right solution; I'm still not 100% sure I understand your problem, so I'm glad you found the solution!! ![]()

neo just finished listening to your other entries for this month. 'Sound of Silence', this is a song I really like, you covered it well and it suited you vocally. 'Morning has Broken' is another song and artist I like, nicely covered by you as well. 'The best way to Travel' I actually don`t know this song, your guitar playing was really good on it. 'I saw the Light' another one I don`t know, but enjoyed listening to you play it. 'Ashes to Ashes', a great song, thought this suited you vocally too. Once again neo, your amazing at how many you manage to cover each month
Thanks for your kind words, I'll manage to slip one more in, but I did this in an "artistic" way ![]()

David Bowie's songs Space Oddity and Ashes to Ashes both mention Major Tom ...
Thanks for the explanation!!

Congratulations Julian, rest a while, but think while you do, where you want to lead life ... don't let it lead you!!

I've also wondered this - I've got a Line6 wireless for my electric and then thought, "this is no good, wires still connect the effects to the amp!!!" ....
Richard from what I have seen I would say yes it is more then possible
check out the photos on the left of this link

Cheers for that, but the receiver is going into either the amp or the effects pedals ... not out of the effects .. guess there's only one way to find out for sure ...
The title suggested to me that you had written a new song.
LOL, I thought I was the only one who thought that ... ![]()
That's such a fun clip!!!

Looks good, I always invest in some of the Schaller type strap locks:

Not sure if this is the same thing, but one time our audio engineer detected a 'buzz' from the bass guitarists axe; he solved it simply by putting an alligator clip on his bridge to the negative/earth side of his cable ... it was a few years ago, but I remember he took the casing off the cable, then applied it carefully to the longest stem of the jack ...
Don't do it with the amp on, and make sure you don't have a short before you plug it in ...
Hope that helps

I am having this exact problem. I cannot add any song to my songbook because once I've either searched and selected a song, or navigated to a song.. I am apparently logged out. My name no longer appears in the upper right hand corner, and instead of "add to songbook" option, I get, "log in and add to songbook" as an option. As soon as I try to login.. it directs me to a forum and away from the song. Never ending cycle, regardless of which song I'm trying to add. Help!

Hi,
I'm guessing this is the most logical place to post this (or admins will remove it) - the Fender Riffstation software is now listed for free:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/378908
It will detect the chords in n MP3, so you can work them out from there.

I used to go around to my friends place and we'd listen to records ... his old man had a great stereo system and a lot of new music was bought to my attention, including Dire Straits, probably around 1980, I think that was the first time I heard it, and after that, I wanted to play guitar ...

Neo - One of my fave songs of all time-- you did it very nicely ! You are so calm and relaxed when you play - i wish I could be as such - I always get so nervous when I record or play in front of someone.
Thank you ... it's always interesting to hear others views - I'm usually nervous, but less so in front of the camera than in front of people ![]()
I remember one time a woman said the same yhing to me; it was just after I was recording an acoustic song for the "Bert Newton's Good Morning Australia" (as I think it was called then) - the studio of Channel 10 was recording me in Perth for the Melbourne show (which airs nationally), and I was sat in a largish room on a stool, and these two big TV camera's were being dolly'd around the room, one guy on the camera, and one guy on the dolly. It was just after my duo had broken up, and I wasn't used to singing (prior to the duo, I used to sing, but was out of practice) - anyhow, I remember being in this big fairly bare room, and playing Margaret's Eulogy - and concentrating on some guitar bit, when I looked up and the guy had the camera right in my face ... when I get nervous my left leg tends to bounce up and down - and boy did it start bouncing then, but I managed to pull through it and I'm sure I started to sweat up a storm. Anyway, song over, I went back to the green room and the lady there said "wow, you looked so calm and relaxed", and I just smiled.
Once you can fake confidence, you can do it again ![]()
Cheers
Richard (sorry for the rambling story!)
