neo ..... wow, you have done heaps once again.  I am jealous and wish I could get to even one song at the moment smile  I listened to them all tonight and once again I applaud you for the amount of songs you manage to perform and cover.  White Rabbit, Golden Brown and Fields of Gold I must confess I don't know those songs at all (where have I been all my life: lol).   But very good guitar work on them all, especially on White Rabbit.  Liked the little touch once again with your filming, on Golden Brown changing from yellow to blurred natural light.  Fields of Gold had lots of reverb, so your mixing things up and changing things around for each song.
Black Magic woman was catchy to listen to and suited the lead guitar.
Green Green grass of home, an oldy but a goodie.  I wondered if this song was a little bit deep for your voice and wondered if a different chord might suit you better so you didnt have to sing so low???
Behind Blue Eyes, a great song and I enjoyed it.  I had to laugh at your son and his cracker photo bomb of your video haha smile

Thanks for the feedback, yes, Green grass is on the list to do again, in a different key smile

I've also wondered this - I've got a Line6 wireless for my electric and then thought, "this is no good, wires still connect the effects to the amp!!!" ....

Anyway ... smile

Heh, I know local artist Dave Warner did a cover of it in the 70's/80's and was quite popular in Australia ... that was the first time I heard it, and it suited his style of music so I was surprised to find in my teens it was a cover. I used o go around to my friends place, and we'd do our homework, then listen to loads of music ...

The guitar is a Maton EBG808CL ... one of the earlier models, they then renamed it "Performer", now I think it's an "SRS" ... this was the closest I could find:

https://maton.com.au/product/the-2015-performer

Mine is an '04 model, which I upgraded the tuners, the pins, the bridge and a few other things over the years ...

Interested to see how it goes, I've always been curious about doing this to find the chords to some obscure Australian and West Australian bands ...

Going for the dreaded B chord this weekend. There's a song called Spiders and Snakes and it's A,E,A,E all the way through until it gets to the bridge and there it is: B. My plan is to master it until my fingers turn to shreds. Oh, yeah. I transposed it from the original.

Thanks

Bill

Hi Bill ... here's how I have to play a B. My long thick fingers will not fit three-aside on the strings, except on a classical with a 2" nut. So I simply barre the D, G, and B strings in the 4th fret with the ring finger, and the rest with the index. My one variation of this picture is that I turn the knuckle on my ring finger backwards a bit, so that the barred E-string still sounds the F#. It's dead simple, and really fast for transitioning to and from other chords ... give it a whirl.

Yep, that's how I do a 'B' too!!

Thanks for that - I had to do a search as I wasn't familiar with the name; now I'll do more research smile

Nice song, Neo ... very good! It reminds me somewhat of Gordon Lightfoot's "In the Early Morning Rain", which is (wait for it) almost as good as yours!

Thanks - I recently picked up an old Gordon Lightfoot music book, so I'll have to check out if that song is in it; I must confess I just know a couple of his songs ("If you could read my mind" and "Sundown"), but I like what I hear ...

Interesting. Everyone uses a different technique. Shows something new to me. With classical I would not use it but steel sting players might if needed for a certain sound or pick.

That's correct - which is why it's near on impossible for one guitarist to sound like all other guitarists; certain nuances in playing are hard to capture unless you re-learn some techniques; another one is the 'thumb over' technique which mutes the lower (E and A) strings, when I was learning I kept my thumb at the back of the neck always, but now I've got slack and have my thumb over for open chords ...

Anyway, YMMV ...

It looks too hard to control down there, Richard. Just tried it again and the barres seem to be the way to go. Thanks, my friend!

I should have quantified my comment by adding - I don't use a pick, so it's hard for me to do too!! smile

With a scenario like this, I usually put the riff in a 'tab' area, as per the ChordPro specifications; then write it as a usual tab section; eg:

{sot:Riff}
|---------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------
|-11-10-11-10-11-10-11-10-11-10-11-10-11/13-(let ring)----
|---------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------
{eot}

Then where the riff goes, you simply put 'riff' in square brackets ...

HTH!!

Cheers

Richard
