There are no words that I can type to heal that kind of hurt. My deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your friend's family.
May the treasures of your memories together ease some of the pain of your loss.
So sorry, my friend.
Jim
She's very good !
I moved the bridge placement - much better fit.
OMG I am so Jealous !
That is gorgeous and extremely functional !
Love it TF - Job well done!
Happy playing and recording!!
I agree with mojo - scale of 1-10 in coolness - it's a 9.9 ( just needs a bar and a cute waitress ! ![]()
Also, enjoy not mowing the grass !!!

TF
Way to keep the audience guessing !! ![]()
Sounds fantastic, but I can't view the pics either.

TF and Phill
Thank you for your kind words.
I actually like to play this song, it has a good rhythm to it and the chords are easy.
It came about bc I was reading a book called Leaders and it compared Martin Luther and Martin Luther King,Jr.
The phrase " here I stand" just resounds with opening one's self to everything that can be thrown at them - even in love.
again, TY for your positive comments.
Jim
Thanks Beamer !
I hope to record it and post it sometime in the near future.
It's my first attempt at writing a song with a bridge in it, so I'm kinda trial and error editing it as I go.
Thanks for your kind words and I hope that now that you have found a new " dancer" things will fall in place.
I really didn't have you in mind when I wrote it, but now that i think about it and consider your former posts, it does seem to fit the history.
Best wishes to you.
Jim
Song about needing love... a slight bit of reference to Martin Luther ( 1521) in the first chorus line ![]()
The problem with selling them is that you get about 20% of the value -
it's similar to automobiles - soon as it leaves the lot - re-sale value plummet's like a stone in water.
Might as well keep it. I'm at 12 and that where I will stay. I don't need any more and don't really want to sell at a huge loss.
Someone on here once put a quote out that said something like " My biggest fear is that my wife is going to sell off my guitars after I die for what I told her I paid for them ! "
My wife's favorite - " you spend big $ on a new guitar b/c you say you can hear the difference, but you can't her me calling you from the kitchen to take the garbage out! "
I think mine ( and probably Beamer's) is " You can't buy happiness, but you can buy guitars, and that's close enough for me !" ::)
That's just my humble opinion as a guitar player that doesn't really even play

This sounds like it could be a track for a Hollywood movie.
I was picturing an advancing army of knights heading toward a castle.
This sounds awesome!
Way to go

CG
In my humble opinion - she is the best you have posted !!!
She is very " Clapton like" !
Excellent guitar and a deep resounding voice with great range.
The last song Wicked soul is my fave - thanks for the turn on to great music!!!
Just keep'em coming my friend!
Jim
Perfect description of so many places that get over run as so as the secret of their charm and beauty gets out
Topsail, NC comes to mind right away!
Really well written song!!!
Thanks for sharing
Jim
Here is a video of one pretty cool instrument
UJB What is the date of the jubliee ?
Amy is hardly ever on here anymore, i thought may be she wasn't doing that anymore.
Jim
He's real good. Love the resonator guitar - I almost bought one once - then my good senses kicked in and said you can barely play a regular guitar - what are ya thinking !
Phill
Put me in the same line as TF, as I to am awestruck at the song.
The guitar playing is sensational !
Jim
Thanks to Phill - he helped re-write and make the music component work.
I really like it - but then again I'm a bit biased ![]()
Hope you like it as well.
Much gratitude to PHILL !!!

They are excellent !
I liked the way the song changes - it's almost like they switch genres a couple of times. Superb guitar playing and the keyboard was top rate as well.
It is so sad that he died - I can't imagine the suddeness - went to a show the night before to watch another band play - was fine - goes home - then has a full cardiac arrest and dies.
40 is way too young - reminds of the song six strings down - angels done took anothe (blues) stringer back home"
good post TF TY
Jim
Beamer
That Axe sure looks nice !! ![]()
We might as well say adios - your gonna be to "busy" to spend much time on chordie ! ![]()
Glad things are working out for you !
BTW - what does SWIPE stand for ?
Congrats my friend, keep traveling that road to happiness.
Jim
Phill
your song was exactly what i was thinking in the one I wrote. Thousands of miles across the Atlantic - never met in person - yet we think so much alike !
So cool !
Thanks
My friend
Jim
TF thanks for the kind words - it just comes easy for me - and i am always cognizant of phrases and comments that would be great themes. There are so many great contributors here on Chordie it seems to be easy pickens as such.
I play it in both keys of A and G and like it both ways.
Peatle - that was a great description of a time gone by in the area.
When I read about the park, it just seemed so peaceful and beautiful. Do you know if the deer and chestnut trees are still as prevalent ?
I did not realize the link between Captain Vancouver and the Canadian city ! Thanks for the history lesson.
Phill - interesting history regarding the King. Also, what or who is CNET ?
Thank you all for the positive feedback - I wish I could sing b/c I think this is really a beautiful little song that is happy and sad at the same time.
I can so picture a gentleman who has lost his life long partner walking through the park and thinking these words.
Thanks again ! Maybe if I get my courage up I'll record it.
