It's real easy unless you want to do it well. If that's the case, I have no advice because I do not do it well.

Wow.
People keep telling me to get bent, but I never connected that with string gauge until now.
Where are you getting your nines for the twelver? And what brand do you prefer?
I've got a Korg from around then. Analog with a long sweep. Very useful. Eats 9v batteries like crazy.
Ugh. I'll be drinking some coffee today. Woke up last night after only an hour and a half sleep and didn't get back to sleep until about an hour before the alarm. I should have gone fishing.
I'm glad you're both home. It sucks to have to keep getting all that poking and prodding and head scratching.

Roger Guppy wrote:Keepitreal, I suggest one day you nip just out of Nottingham to Bulcote and find the Mulberries Coffee Shop. There are more teas there (and coffees too) than you can shake a stick at and this is proper tea. You know, the real dried leaves that you have to put in a pot, add boiling water and then filter out the spent leaves after it has brewed and before drinking......

Why would you want to shake a stick at coffee?
He didn't say you'd want to. He just said you couldn't. Now me, I love shaking sticks at things so I'd be sorely disappointed. And sometimes I prefer waggling my finger while clucking tsk, tsk.
OK. All I need a title for is #12.
Given that the lyrics are unintelligible and everyone appears to be picking something different, maybe we should call it an "Ode To Jam Bands." I'm pretty sure it's in G, D, A, or C, though.
Its stihl koughie thou, rite?
I keep an espresso maker in my xamp kitchen. Yum yum.
I hope you both have a wonderful time.
I'm surprised JoeyJoeyJoey didn't beat you to it. What a great find!
How do you make it smooth?
Practice.
Practice very, very, very slowly with a metronome. Slowly increase speed.
In grad school I did a study on retail marketing of coffee. My team mates and I checked out grocery stores, coffee shops, service stations, convenience stores, restaurants, and sampled coffee at all of them. At Starbucks, I ordered "whatever you have that has the most syllables." Without even having to think about it, they sold me a caramel machiatto frappucinno. That's a lot of syllables for coffee. It was like drinking a candy bar.
One of the team mates had never had coffee, and had six cups that afternoon. He didn't sleep for a week.
19 = My Life Revolves Around Pee. It is the reason I don't write more songs. After about 12 hours of picking, singing, and sipping, I was feeling pretty rough in my throat around about then.
15 = Dublin Blues written by Guy Clark
5 = Cold Day in July. I don't know who wrote it. I first heard it on The Dixie Chicks' album Fly.
Edited to fix a hilarious typo.

The only thing I played was Twinkle Twinkle over and over.
It was a real good party.
Believe the doctors, but trust the Lord.
I'll try to put together another tune or two for Dondra. I used to have to have emergency endoscopies frequently, so hate to hear of someone dealing with such a serious condition on her esophegus.
One quick story from one scheduled endoscopy, the nurses brought me in to the operating room after getting me all good and giggly with valium. The technician asked what brought me in for a colonoscopy, and I told him "Nothing. You need to check the other end." So he rechecked his chart, and dressed down the nurse for prepping him for the wrong procedure. The technician directed the nurse to turn the gurney around while he set up a different program. When they were just about set, the nurse asked if the tech wanted a different camera, and he said they did. The nurse asked why, and the tech gave a quick instruction, after which I added, "Besides, that one was going to taste funny." The technician thought it was funny. The nurse didn't.
Here's that guy. And that other guy. (Doug and Bill)

Digital brothers who appear to be pixelating right before our eyes. It was trippy. (Uncle Joe and Bill)

Uncle Joe, Lorraine, Scott, Mekidsmom's Kiddo, Peter. I guess Bill is sneaking in too. So far as I know, MKMK had never played a box before, but she was hanging in there awesomely.

MKMK and MKM, both with guitars.

MKMK and MKM, only MKM with guitar.

I left early because after going to sleep after 2:00, I woke up about 5:30 and wasn't able to get back to sleep. When whatshername who said, "I'm silent in the morning. Don't worry about me," got up about 7:20 (not the 5:00 they said) and cracked me up with her idea of silence, I decided to pack up. I can't believe I didn't wake Joe - at least when breaking down the cot next to his head. Sometimes insomnia comes at inconvenient times, and other times it lets me pack up, get a shower, and get an early start on the road. I did get to have breakfast at a kind of weird family restaurant. The coffee was hot and good. I sat at the counter so I'd get a lot of refills. Instead of refills, I had one waitress keep bringing me a saucer with little cream cups on it, and then another one kept asking whether I needed the saucer with cream cups on it and when I said I didn't she'd take it away. That must have happened about four or five times. Though they were paying close attention to either bring me cream I didn't want, or take away the cream they'd just brought, I had to ask for refills on the coffee itself. I never did get the to go cup I requested. And someone should introduce the cook to a salt shaker. Other than stinginess with coffee, flavorless potatoes and eggs, and the bizarre cream ritual, the breakfast included a large portion of some really fine perfectly cooked bacon that made it all worthwhile. I did enjoy seeing all the Amish heading to meeting Sunday morning. Reminded me of home.
I'll be packing tomorrow and plan to arrive on Saturday mid-day. Staying the night and heading for home Sunday after sufficient caffeination.
Way to go DE.
Sorry, sadly it's a Nope from me. And just to make me feel even more fed-up, I have just managed to damage the tip of my LH index finger whilst chopping vegetables. So, no guitar playing for me for at least a week, I think...
Have a Great Gathering, folks!
Bummer. I've been looking forward to having you for a free day on Friday. I had a trip to my favorite winery planned. There's a lake with big fish in it that we're allowed to fish on a catch & release basis, a gazebo with terrific acoustics that I've got permission to pick guitar in when they aren't using it for tastings, and they have two reds I think you'd greatly enjoy.
Get well. Maybe show the finger to your dentist and he fill it along with your tooth. But you said index finger. Most people show a different finger to dentists.
Zurf - I'll look into it! I've found the Sweet Rose, and one of the not as sweet ones (can't think of the name) in the box before. Not sure about the Goat though. If I find it, I'll grab it! If not, well then I'll just have to see what else I can find.
I think they've got a white wine with a picture of a trout on it. I haven't ever had it, but with a picture of a trout it's got to be great - right?
