Hey, it looks like a Mythbusters exhibit will be in Tampa during Chordiefest. Who wants to go?
I checked it out. Looks like tickets for the museum are $25 each. If I was taking the family it would be a positive stop... however, considering I can purchase some vodka for the same price, I think I'll hang with Jeff this time. ![]()

Some airlines will let you, others won't. United considers them irreplaceable items and wont even cover damage at all (clearly I won't have any instruments with me in LA as my company's got me flying evil United). So, check with the airline you're flying, or maybe send it out a few days early via UPS and hold for pick up at the local station to grab it when you get there? Jeff has me convinced to bring my Martin and gate check it to FL. Southwest isn't evil. Lol. But remember, Jeff has plenty of guitars and a new gibson just dying to be passed around. Ha ha!
Just a few more weeks!!!! Whoo hooo!

It's always something. I feel your pain. Jims been laid off since before Christmas. Living on unemployment sucks especially when we have to fill the fuel oil tank and we have below zero temps for almost a week straight... we are STILL trying to get Stephs room finished (Alexs old room... you may recall this project started over the summer). Keep my fingers crossed our furnace lasts through this season myself frankly.
But hey, at least you can see right? And running away to Florida is just around the corner!!

I did hear something about chrome having an issue recently. Have you tried viewing the site with firefox or (gasp) IE? I'm thinking it's chrome on your PC itself with the issue.

As someone that colors hair and thrives upon the natural light to make decisions and make people beautiful... I HATE fluorescent lights and LED's. You can buy "natural light" fluorescents, but they do not really show true colors unless you're positioned in exactly the perfect spot under the light. It sucks to have to tell people to go outside and take a mirror to actually see what their hair looks like sometimes. On the other hand, they are cheaper to run. ![]()

Guess I am lucky also our low is 37 and daytime temps too 65 degrees.
My husband asked me why I was spending so much time looking at my trip information for LA when it's still nearly a month away. THIS is exactly the reason why. I'd rather be in 65 temps than 0 right now! ![]()

Not to mention when you guys see me at chordie stock,, by the latter part of the evening you will totally “get” the reasons for which I became Magoo.Which particular flight deck were you stomping around on? I stomped around on USS-Ranger (CV-61) for a long time.
You're extra cool for riding the Triumph.
Well thank you! Ill email you a pic of it.

We've got the same weather here... PA and CNY all under the same warnings. North of here is supposed to end up with about 5 feet of snow by Wednesday night. Luckily I'm not getting that, but every school in CNY is closed today because of the wind chill factor. I had to rescue my garbage cans this morning. One was across the road with the wind blowing so hard this morning.

Btw, we are expecing a high of 1 F today and -25 windchills. I was hoping to go to the YMVA and sit in the sauna, but I have doubts about my car starting in this cold and making it there with the snowy roads that will never clear up at these temps. I am thinking guitar, hot bath, and maybe taking the xmas decor down instead. Ick.

I understand you being upset. Out not only the money, but also the guitar. I would be upset too. I'd be beating myself over the head for the oversight with the signature, or rather, I'd be berating my husband likely (that's me... I'm NOT calling YOUR husband names... I WOULD call mine names though! LOL). I'd also be furious with UPS, although clearly they didn't do anything wrong here (I'd secretly be wondering if the driver actually stole it after seeing no one was home). Not knowing the buyer, I'd be wondering about him as well. I can see your frustration clear as day. It's a LOT of money to be out especially around the holidays.
That said, the buyer is a moderator on this forum. He is also a close friend to quite a few people on this forum. As another said, I would sooner believe my mother was a werewolf than the buyer stole the guitar. Please understand that on this forum we don't allow the bashing of other members. We won't allow it toward TopDown or Yourself. The information about the missing guitar was already posted on this forum, once the guitar was missing, possibly even before you were contacted in the hopes that it could be found and received by the buyer. He was certain that it was mis-delivered, and astonished that it was in fact stolen. Who DOESN'T WANT a MARTIN?
Anyway, my point here is... lets keep this forum as friendly as it has been... EVERYONE... and hope that someone WILL find the guitar and return it. A thief doesn't deserve a Martin so beautiful as that one.

We had a similar discussion once or ten times before. I always liked the Elixir nanowebs, but for my Martin I have found (so far) the silk and steels play much nicer. I'll still use the Elixirs on my Epi though. I'm going to try the SP's next.
