OH... nothing against Epiphones, just MINE is an el-cheapo.  LOL!  It's the DR-150.  It was a great first steel string for me to learn on though!  smile  I've played other Epiphones that I liked, a LOT... they however were NOT el-cheapos.  In fact, I believe I nearly fell in love with TopDawg's Epi last year.

Dino - I refuse to answer your question unless you are really coming here.  You get your hiney here, and we'll barter!  LOL!  smile

Amy I would love too come out there and meet all of you,but I have to spend $800.00 on my fence as my neighbor is going too pay for half of it so it has too be done now.

Ha! Yep, I've done it in two days before, from San Jose, CA to Mercer, PA (about an hour north of Pittsburgh). Not the easiest thing in the world to do, but then there were fewer cars - and fewer state boys on the road back in those days...

...not that I was speeding or anything... http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_3327.gif

LOL you were speeding!! I did it once in three but I was going pretty fast most of the time. That trip was too Hardeville S. Carolina! so you nust have been haulling a..  all the time.

Your hippie anthem is really groovy, man, and listening to it was a real gas! Seriously ... good job! For me the ultimate Hippie Anthem is "Woodstock" by Crosby, Stills and Nash:

I have played a couple of the epiphone's and have always enjoyed them,I see we had a simuler history,I did the sporrts thing also but I still played when I could. John Lennon loved epiphones and used one on the rootop concert(he also did the lead guitar on Get Back).

It's great to have you with us, punkrawker, and as I tell all folks who join us here, "Teach us something!" smile

I looked at your list of influences and I can pretty much assure you that one of our family (not gonna name him wink ) will be pleased to know you're a Commander Cody fan.

As for being "all over the map", I think that describes just about everyone at "Chordie", so you should fit right in.

I'm certain that more than just me will be here soon for more welcoming to the "friendliest site on the internet", so for now, welcome aboard and have fun with us.

Bill

EDITED TO ADD: We have some real stars here, though they tend to "play down" their talents. Don't believe them for a second! They're fantastic musicians, singers, songwriters and poets! smile

I am the commander cody fan, stones,Pink Floyd etc. Welcome here,I do not really like punk rock though. Maybe Bill was talking about some one else. Enjoy the site.

Amy,
I think what you meant was that anyone ( like Roger) coming wouldn't want to lug their 5- 10 guitars with them. smile

That is a sweet looking guitar.

But in reality, someone could always be
1) getting the drinks
2) singing
3) dancing
4) helping those of us that aren't that good, play with best
4) calming the neighbors
5) or re-directing the po-po

while the ones w guitars are playing.  smile

Jim

I never got the ok on playing the Martin, well I will not be there anyways. I could be doing all these chores between playing. I could be your Hucklberry. I do not understand why the epiphone is not liked I have played a few and I think they are a good low end guitar.

Happy Birthday Dondra and welcome home from the hospital.

Good news!!!!

I read some where that Ringo did it,but begrudgeingly.
He hates drum solos.
Hey Phill i see our song`sad clown` doing great on Soundcloud.

Ringo is a good drummer if you go and look at the concert for Bangladesh you will see he is very good as they show him playing with another drummer. I do think Ringo was the one too do the solo.
