Welcome!
I'm a bit confused by the "doesn't store files" thing too ... as I wanted to upload some of my own songs ... however if you have them in OnSong, I'd be happy to take a copy, just send me a PM ![]()
Cheers

Lyrics schmyrics. I never get them right.
I thought that was for effect ... !!
Nice singing and playing Neo.
Thanks!! (not sure I got all the words right, as I did it from memory) ...
There is alot going on in that track I love the production.
Thanks!!
House of the rising sun: https://youtu.be/Tzyt1vBfMEw - I'm also putting up some acoustic versions of my original songs on YouTube, if you're feeling bored and want to look around ![]()
Cheers
This was the title track from my duo's second CD:

Recording this was fun - the guitar was so loud and I seem to recall we placed the amp in the toilet (next to the recording studio) to control the feedback better - and the keyboard player and I kept the same line going. With some words recorded from a radio station I used to work at, but I'm not sure who spoke them ...
Enjoy!
When I say 'song', we programmed the old Mac to talk, as was the fashion in the 90's ![]()

I don't think we ever used the guitar track for this music, although I seem to recall we did record one ... it was an attempt to get more into the 'electronic' dance thing with the duo ...
Enjoy!
Cheers, I forgot to add Alan is the keyboard player, and made a bunch of tracks, which I edited via MIDI ...
This was recorded with Alan Burke as part of our duo:

Enjoy
This song was written and recorded with my duo partner, Alan Burke, with both of us sharing the main vocals.

Enjoy!
Here is another very quick attempt as one of this months FSOTM ~Folsom Prision~. Bit of lag with me blowing the whistle lol as I was trying to perform this on my own (hard to get to the whistle on time). Think my banjo ukulele could do with some new strings too!

That's pretty good!! I guess I should have listened to the song first before attempting to do my version ![]()
He's got a real 50's feel to his music, it was all pretty good!!
Cheers
Thanks for sharing ...
Must admit, I'm with TF - never liked the headstock, which has caused me to never play one ... (and I'm too happy with my Maton)
Neo the broad range of styles you cover is impressive.
Thanks ![]()
Me and the kid went at it again.
 sounds good!! (although a little low in volume?)
I enjoy jamming with my boy as well ... but we don't do it as much since he moved from drums to keyboard ...
Thanks, enjoyed that!
Ok, here is a very quick attempt I did this afternoon of ~ Elvira~ . I tend to get a bit too fast in parts (but then I have a bad tendancy to do that at the best of times).

That was great - the song suits the Uke!!!
Ok ... just got done listening to all of your covers neophytte
Thanks for your kind words ...
so far ... a very cool new web design !!!
I agree ...
Elivira was a bit different to how iIusually have heard this song but the beauty of doing covers here is that we can make them to sound however we want, so good for you. Folsom Prison version also a little bit different too but both of these songs you made them your own. Have to agree with what zurf said about the vocals, they could do with being louder or the mic up closer so as not to be out done by the guitar playing.
Proud Mary was the best one I thought because you seemed more confident and it seems like you know it well, so your vocals and guitar style on this cover were good, very enjoyable on this one
Thanks for your kind comments - I hadn't heard of Elvira or Folsom Blues before, which is why they are probably more my take on it than close to the original ... ![]()
I do remember learning Proud Mary from my school days, and it must have sunk in but I've never played it on guitar before ...
Thanks for the comments on the mic - I'll try better next time ...
Cheers
If I had to make one constructive criticism, it would be to either get a mic closer to your mouth or to sing louder. You sing so well, it should be more clearly featured in your recordings.
Thanks for that - I'm trying to use a simplistic recording approach, so it's one microphone plugged into the iPhone, which sits on a tripod, and I have one of those bluetooth "remote shutter" things, so I don't need to keep leaning to the phone to turn the recording on and off ... but with one mic it's sometimes hard to get the 'sweet spot' between balancing voice and guitar - however I'll bring it closer to my mouth next time ![]()
Cheers
Can I also suggest "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen - it's not totally Christmas-y, but I think I can convince my wife to sing this one ![]()
Cheers
Jambalaya. I forgot the lyric about catching all the fish in the bayou. So...forgive me.
That was pretty good!! I liked the fingerpicking throughout, nice and clean ...
any chance of a video????
+1!
