Enjoy!
Elvira - https://youtu.be/nZUwCwG0pFA
Enjoy!
That looks like an interesting instrument - never seen a nylon string one before!!! It would be a bit too big for my smaller hands, but sounds like it 'matches' a classical guitar sizing from the description in this video - good luck with it, post a video and show us how you tamed it!!
Cheers
I had a 6 string banjo, and tuned it the same as a guitar ...
Cheers
Welcome ...
Shallow Mind - recorded live to the desk, excluding the vocals and bass, which were added later (as we were without a bass player at the time):
http://neophytte.mine.nu/audio/mp3/ShallowMind.mp3
It was also remixed in 2013, which fixed up some bits:

Enjoy!!
This was a "live to the desk" recording at a rehearsal:

come on you lot you can do better than this!!!!

I liked the jangly sound you got on your guitar!! But it's hard to hear the words (in my el-cheapo $2 headphones) ....
Ha ha! "Hello Kitty!" That guitar sounds good. I didn't expect that from the novelty decoration.
I'd never heard that song before and didn't know what to expect, but I liked it and couldn't tell that you had a cold. The diction was clear and you were on key. You're very good at keeping a steady beat too. That's something I need to work on. Very nice recording!
The "Hello Kitty" guitar is made by Squire - it doesn't sound too bad, but needs a new set of strings (as the wife never plays it) ...
Thanks for the kind words!!
This was from my solo CD recording:
http://neophytte.mine.nu/audio/mp3/AllsNotFair.mp3
Got a fair bit of air play, mostly on the local stations.
Enjoy!
This was recorded for my solo CD (a little bit Pink Floyd inspired):

Enjoy ...
I didn't get a chance to listen to your contribution yet, Neophytte, but I'm eager to hear it. I like your whole approach and style.
Thanks - my voice was a bit off, as I was coming down with a cold, and didn't know it at the time ... I may re-do it now that I'm on the mend ![]()
Yeah Neo.i think thats the one.
Thanks - I'll have a bash at that ... !!
Cheers
I challenge
Neo to do Elvira
Is it this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUBmx3g2yRU
Cheers
This is the title track of my solo CD project:

{edit} just found it for sale: https://www.discogs.com/Richard-Mortime … se/1642739

This is an instrumental I wrote a long time ago:
http://neophytte.mine.nu/audio/mp3/Inte … 20Ride.mp3
This was a re-recorded version for my solo CD project. I also used it recently for a backdrop to a video I put together of random photos of the sunrise from our front yard over a couple of years:

Enjoy!
I already did "To her door" a few days ago, just before this wretched cold got a hold of me:
but ...
I challenge
Neo to do Elvira
Challenge accepted!!! (although I've never heard this song) ![]()

4??? I only used E and Em LOLOLOLOL
When I replace my scanner, I'll send you a chord chart that came from the America website. I haven't been there in a while, but they used to have chord charts to a lot of their songs the way they played them.
Not sure if this will help, but I wrote a chord diagram program some time ago:

Will also work for different stringed instruments (via settings) ...
Enjoy ...
On the wall to your right is the mando-banjo - I'm pretty sure it's a MANjo (1930's?)
I did some "work" on a similar one of these, which was my then-girlfriend's mothers musical item - she called it a "banjo-lin" .... when we broke up, I had to give it back, totally disassembled, which I always felt bad about ...
Yikes! Sounds like a lot when you list 'em like that. I better shuffle them around the house again so they are harder to count
Sounds like what I do .... ![]()
Really nice collection, I like the Solitaire ...
Gidday Neo
i like this one a lot.
Thanks - you'll (maybe) also enjoy "The man in the glass cage", which was recorded at roughly the same time: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=187385
Another one from my solo CD:
http://neophytte.mine.nu/audio/mp3/Man% … 20Cage.mp3
This was recorded in the same session as "The Spiral Staircase", and the bass line from "Man in the glass cage" is the piano line from "The Spiral Staircase". Had a session vocalist (Janet) do the backup vocals, and swapped her talent for putting some MIDI files onto her sequencer, which she then used as her backup tracks for singing at pubs and clubs ...
I always liked this song for the 'latin' feel, and the feedbacking guitars at the end ... but it seems I'm in the minority ![]()
Enjoy!!
This one was recorded on my solo CD, back in the 90's:
http://neophytte.mine.nu/audio/mp3/rhinoceros.mp3
It got a bit of airplay and was featured on one of the MTV videos they were producing at the time (I think it was about fashion or makeup, or something ...), apparently got a fair bit of airplay on some of the college radio stations in the US, which, to me, was a bit odd, as I recorded it with "bits and pieces" of ideas, and was pretty quick to record ...
And it has Sinbad at the end ...
Enjoy!
I like this one!! It has raw emotion ....
