I tried to find some of your songs Peatle in the song writing section but I couldn’t find any in there?
So, that is just SOME choices of many, after flicking through the song writing section.  I know there are heaps more to choose from smile

easybeat, .... definately ...... got any you would like to suggest for us?  You can even suggest your songs if you want, it doesn`t have to be someone else`s  ........ or you can suggest your own songs and someones else`s songs ......... it will all be going in the hat smile

Ok everyone, for Suggested FSOM for January 2017  (can you believe it, nearly 2017 already!)  we will be doing 2 songs once again. 

FIRSTLY, we are looking for Suggestions from you the members, of any ORIGINAL SONG written by CHORDIE MEMBERS.  Yes, that’s right, we want to hear YOUR suggestions of an Original Song that you think one of our members has written that would be great to perform.  One that you think has potential, that you think is just different, that you think is particularly well written, that you just love everything about it, that you would like to listen to yourself or others performing.  It can be for any reason! 
You will find plenty of Original Songs from our talented Chordie Members if you visit the SONGWRITING THREAD here in the Forum.  Just pop over there, have a look and see what songs you think you would like to suggest.  Then come back here to this thread and put enter your suggestion.  You can suggest more than one song if you like, you may have a few original songs you like or just can`t decide which one you fancy the most.   
Towards the end of the month, we will put ALL suggestions INTO THE HAT and draw one out which will be ONE of the FSOM for January.
Have fun choosing and Suggesting an Original Song and we look forward to seeing what gets chosen.

SECONDLY, we the Moderators, are going to choose a Song from previously unchosen Suggested Songs.    There are still so many good song suggestions from previous months, we thought we would pick a song from one of those.   We will reveal towards the end of the month which one it will be. 

So start making your suggestions.

Really good beamer, i enjoyed it.  I liked the mandolin in it too, just gave it that extra something.  Would be good for you to add the lyrics to your song on sound cloud or on here with chords so if people want to have a go at it, if they want smile

Phill,  on the efforts of a 14 year old boy, torturing the strings and to attract the girl lol, i could totally visualize that scenario haha.   I  did try playing a couple of times on a right handed guitar ......... it was a no go, failed miserably and knew pretty much straight way i was going to have to get myself some left-handed gear smile

upside down .....I  love this song!  I am not much help musically to you but i do appreciate a well written song and the lyrics in this are very touching.  I have someone very close to me with drug issues and a binge drinker so this song speaks to me.  This line in particular is how i know they feel   "I try as hard as I can, to do my very best,  but it seems like all my efforts, never please the rest" sad   Tugs at your heart. 
Great song, well done on being clean and sober and yay another Leftie (although i play a left handed ukulele and left handed guitar).

Roger ................. having trouble getting back onto Sound clou, it seems to be not working at present  (after just being on there a few minutes ago) so will endeavor to listen to your second cover once Sound Cloud link is back up and running.
