Richard just listened to your vocals you have a good voice. I liked the arrangement also with the backing vocals and nice playing.
Thanks again, and to all who said hello back!!
Cheers

Not many UK suggestions ........... anymore before I close this down?
Do we need to do them all? Can I suggest others? How about "Lalena" by Deep Purple ...
Cheers
Richard
On that note, just went and watched your cover of "I had to say I love you" .... very nice ..... you covered it well, timing great, and you had a lovely soft voice with that particular song which suited it. Well done
Thanks, my voice isn't great, but trying to get it better - on that note, was I supposed to do "Sundown" as well?
Cheers
Richard
Hi neophytte, great to see you on board
Ta!
Thanks for all the welcome's!! ![]()
Hi Richard, nice to meet you. I am a bit up to the neck in it at present but I will look at your music later. (I might even listen too
).
See, that's the problem on the other side of the world - instead of being up to your neck, you'd only be up to your ankles ![]()
Your earlier comment has intrigued me; does standing on your head all the time mean that you have to do a handstand when you wish to use the loo?
No, because the water goes the other way ... ![]()
Cheers
Richard
I just listen to your track Richard. Nice guitar and the lady has a good voice. I just play piano and guitar by feel but recently I have stoped playing due to a medical condition.
Hope you feel better soon, these were my vocals from the same album http://neophytte.mine.nu/audio/mp3/10-Beauty_Queen.mp3
Enjoy!
Richard
My Maton was made in Australia
My PRS was made in USA
(not sure why pictures not working ..?)

Depends on your guitar and amp set up; if you have an FX loop, then I'd put it behind the guitar before it goes the pre-amp (cleans up noise from guitar), if you're running your guitar straight into the pedals, then into the pre-amp, my experiments found the best place was (for different guitars) either directly before the overdrive, gain type pedals, or at the end of the chain before the amp input.
There is no "one size fits all" answer here, it's really a case of experimenting until it sounds right to you ...
Hope it helps ...
Welcome Richard to the land of Chordie. As a person who has always been really curious about music and slightly confused by the world, I find this is an excellent place to check out and share ideas.
Thanks - all it takes is curiosity to create, and take it further than where you found it ...
Cheers
Gidday Richard
glad to meet you,i`m a poor singer too.but i`m also guitarist/writer.the jury is out
on these.I have tried to bribe them ,but to no avail.
Welcome to chordie, don`t be a stranger.
there are a lot of intelligent people on here, but they all come from Aust/NZ
Thanks - it's because we stand on our heads and all the blood flows to our brains ... BTW, after listening to your music, you'll probably like my old acoustic stuff better than the modern "in my phone" songs; try this one: http://neophytte1.mine.nu:81/audio/mp3/ … Eulogy.mp3 (with a different singer to me)
Cheers

UK song - Father & Son by Cat Stevens.
Voting this one up, and "Crazy" by Willie Nelson (I think he did it? - or "All of me", if he didn't
)
Welcome to Chordie. Most everyone here is glad that I don't use video. Some have actually seen me. They were barely able to contain their desire to run away terrified. It would have been nice to hear your offerings. Just so you know, you're allowed to submit to old months. I'm still working on Jack & Diane from April, and now I'm going to have to carry Pancho and Lefty into another month because I just haven't had time to work on it. All that is perfectly fine. Encouraged even.
Join in, have fun, keep rocking.
Thanks - it's good to know old months are still open; I've been meaning to do some videos for a while, cause I realized all the while I was keeping the static stuff from the paper, but not the visual stuff. I'm still stuffing around with video, so I hope to have something soon(ish) ...
Cheers

I was asked to come over and introduce myself, so 'Hi' ... I'm Richard, from Australia, been playing guitar for more years than I haven't - took a lull about 10 years ago while kids were born, now jamming with some older folk who like to play covers, so I've been using Chordie as a place to pick up the basic versions of the songs - fixed them up to my liking and play them when I'm not playing "Dad" ...
I also wrote a page to define chord shapes and add a graphic to put in the songs; it will also now show a chordpro definition for those who want to add barre chords to their songs: http://neophytte1.mine.nu:81/chord/
There's a bunch of my music in my signature if you want to check it out ...
Cheers

I had a golden opportunity last night to participate in this - wife and kids in bed, brought out the guitar, set up my iPhone, set up mike, recorded a few songs; then I found the cable to the mike is not working - so have a load of videos and outtakes of silence and me strumming .... oh well, let's see when the next opportunity arises ...
I see it's been over a year since the last update, but came here to find the diagrams unloadable - did they ever get fixed??
Thanks
Anyone know where I can get the chords to any Deadly Nightshades music?
'That Song' video:

'Red turns to Brown' video:

Thanks ...
