OK, discussion wise, I think John Prine has some excellent titles for songs. He does it both ways. Some songs need a title that tells a little bit about the song from the writer's perspective. Other times, you just need a daggone name for the thing and what the heck, there's the hook right there.
So, I'd say, it depends on the song, the songwriter's motivation for writing the song, and a certain degree of "Idunno."
Do what you want. It's your song.
My arthritic hips and shoulders were not happy about the paddling, which is a sure sign that I need to do it more often to avoid that sort of lethargy based pain.
Now that I have discovered the river right current is far, far, far less swift than the river left current, I will cross to the river right THEN paddle up stream, and hopefully I'll be able to get farther up the river to where the bigger fish are.
That sounds great, except for the part about being covered in lava and ash. I hope you get to go, have a great time, and catch lots of big fish.
Dirty Ed - Sounds like a good trip. I'm sure you'll hold up.
Most of my fishing this year has been teaching kids to fish. I've taken neighborhood kids, my kid's school friends, and my daughter's whole Girl Scout troop. Ten of those kids have caught their first fish ever with me this summer. I've paddled flat water too, but this was my first solo trip to the Potomac. And yeah, Zguitar, I'll be back. I found some real good spots just upstream from a convenient put in.
I did catch a few fish. Nothing to brag about size wise or quantity wise, but more than I'd have caught from my sofa.
Can you believe I went by two bars on the way home to kick start the recuperation process, and they were both closed! Now THAT's crazy talk. Closed before sunset on a weekend!
For the first time this summer, I took my kayak out and paddled alone. That means I had to paddle upcurrent for a while, then float back down to fish.
I am not feeling my age tonight. I'm feeling at least Topdown's age. :-) A hot shower, copious quantities of Ben Gay, and bourbon are my recipe for relief. For clarity, the Ben Gay has been applied topically and the bourbon internally.

I've saved songs as .pdf on my computer and used a .pdf reader. Not sure if that's what you're looking for.
That's the right thing to have done DE.
When confronted with some choices to take, I turned to our friend Alvin for advice. He said, "First, figure out the things that are right. Then do one of those." Taking care of family, and taking care of people around us whose family is deployed are right things.
It was just three of us. Topdawg, an old friend of mine who is just learning, and me. We did circle format and had my friend who didn't know any songs just play some clean chords. We had plenty to eat with salty snacks, spicy barbeque wings, cheeseburgers, beans, and some other sides. My friend brought a dessert with fresh fruit on a pizza sized cookie that went over well. We played on my patio until about 11 PM, having started at about 3:30. Overall, it was a lot of fun, and it gave me the chance to get to know Topdawg better.

60% chance of thunderstorms. We're going to start on the patio, but if it rains I have an inside location all set as an alternate. Adult and soft beverages, wings, burgers, and salty snacks are ready. Not a vegetable in sight, but for lettuce and tomato for the burgers.
Edit: I abused Moderator powers to edit my post to remove the phone number.
Topdawg's coming on Friday. We'll have a chat.
They can't work good in B. B is evil.
Nothing written in B can be good.
Per's been on vacation. Per is who you get when you e-mail admin@chordie.com. It's his site. He's recently returned, so hopefully will get that addressed.
That's a neat event, and a person would be hard pressed to come up with a better sort of charity to support. I hope you did "If I Were The Wind" for them. I've liked that song since hearing the first notes.

topdown wrote:As much as I hated to do it, I just cancelled my reservation for this event. I'm going to be busy moving out of my condo into a new place the next few weeks and as I have been traveling for work weekly, my time at home has become more of priority. Additionally, rumor is that the Bus will be closing on 8/3 and I want to be there to close it out in style!
Hope to see everyone in March for chordiestock III
Disappointing to me, but I will never begrudge a father working to find a better suited living accommodation for his family.
Also, the bus.
Not many folks are "in", but I'm hoping a few of the local folks I invited will stop by. Otherwise, it might just be me and Topdawg.

Charlottesville is a cool town. I've heard some pretty good busking in Fredericksburg too, right outside one of my favorite music stores I've ever been in...Pickers Supply.
And yeah...MKM ought to draw a good crowd with her chops.
Settle down Dino - Blue Tit is a kind of bird. It's beautiful, and for some strange reason is mostly yellow. It's all good.

249X2 ... Steph's contract demands half the take! On the brights side, $2 is a lot to a 9 year old, so shes excited about the cash. Lol! I guess my $2 pays for the gas. Good thing we live close and I drive a rollerskate.
You may have to get a Seagull instead.
