neophytte, That was really good. Sung well, played well, very good performance. You did yourself proud with this one.

Good chart there neophytte.
easybeat, I will be closing this one tomorrow and starting next months 'Suggestions and Discussion'
so, if you want to suggest one category you would like to go up, let me know before tomorrow. That is which genre you would like, e.g. folk, rock ....
So, the songs so far mentioned in this thread, I will be putting up tomorrow for next months FSOTM. So any last minute suggestions?

Grah1 that was a good performance by you and the band. Looks like you were all enjoying it and having fun. A few years ago, now by the looks, 11 years to be exact. Do you guys still play together?
Here is a link to Howling Wolf`s Killing Floor that you mentioned. A good Blues one, but you know I never really knew what it was about, so I googled it. This what Wikipedia said the songs about.
Quote: Howlin' Wolf recorded "Killing Floor" in Chicago in August 1964, which Chess Records released as a single.[2] According to blues guitarist and longtime Wolf associate Hubert Sumlin, the song uses the killing floor – the area of a slaughterhouse where animals are killed – as a metaphor or allegory for male-female relationships: "Down on the killing floor – that means a woman has you down, she went out of her way to try to kill you. She at the peak of doing it, and you got away now ... You know people have wished they was dead – you been treated so bad that sometimes you just say, 'Oh Lord have mercy.' You’d rather be six feet in the ground."[3]

Glad to hear others think Boom Boom Boom is Blues too and not Pop.
Phill, I can't take the credit for the discussion or adding comments, that was neophyttes idea. Hopefully it will make it more interesting for everyone and it's great to have discussion, comments and everyone putting their views, thoughts down. I am sure I for one will learn some new things from this. Also, Phill, I agree, Blazing Saddles was an excellent movie, I think we still have a video copy of it somewhere. I watched that movie so many times lol

I was listening to some John Lee Hooker music and this one, Boom Boom Boom according to Wikipedia came up saying it was Pop whereas I have always thought it was Blues. What does everyone think? I loved this song in the Movie Blues Brothers, a great movie.

Cheers

Nicely done neophytte, liked the added reverb on the vocals would added to it. An oldie but a goodie.

neo, never heard of this song, so like TIG, I looked up the meaning of the song and yes is right with his comments on what the song is about. Interesting little song, it punched along with the strumming as you played it. The Reverb or echo mostly good, maybe a little over done in a few places?. I enjoyed listening to it.

Hi ficay, welcome and hope you enjoy your time here. AI is a very interesting area for everyone, in every area of life now it seems. I have mixed feelings about it I must admit. I can see the greatness of it, but I also like the originality of an artist creating from their own mind and abilities. I am not for it or against it. I AI is amazing what it can do and it certainly takes the hard work out of anything for people. But, the big BUT is for me, it is taking away the originality of any artistic field.

TIGLJK, that is a great song! So awesome you could fit so many of the words in. I like the whole story line to this, and I could visualize it very clearly from the way you wrote it. Love it
