I decided to not wait till Christmas and added some new gear my SR-16 is kaput so I replaced it with a small electronic kit Yamaha YDD 40 Rhythm machine and for my recording playback I ordered studio monitors Behringer MS16 powered studio monitors.First the drums,I was looking for something that not only plays pre-recorded patterns but allows you to use either drumsticks or your hands to strike the pads and featured multiple sound kits at a resonable price. This took a while I almost opted to replace the SR-16 with another but the one drawback was the small pads this was in the end the deciding factor.Second I have been useing my Sonic PA for playback but all mixing is done with my headset I needed studio monitors that could serve two purposes for playback and for my laptop (I like it loud lol ) pricewise what I settled on fit the bill for quality and cost and should make a nice additon to my video setup Im looking forward to recording some new ideas I have dealing with slide blues and alternate tunings keep ya posted when smile

I voted yesterday,Wisconsin has absentee options and I agree with Zurf that one of the two candidates will win I hope its my choice but if not I will live with it,I dont believe America will fall apart what I do believe is we will find a way as we always have in hard times to pull in the same direction but its a far different world we live in then when I was younger. Today everything that happens anywhere on this planet effects everyone in some way were a global community a financial crisis in Europe affects not only ours but everyones economy because of trade and the value of currency I dont fear for America we are more then able to sustain without imports if need be.

I think you would need two pc's with one connected to skype or Google chat but if you make the tutorials you could upload them to a free file storage and post the link like I did with Audacity Im sure a few members would be interested including me smile

What frustrates me with the whole Lance Armstrong thing is that he passed all the tests.  What is the point of having tests if passing them is of less value than hearsay?  Further, stripping Lance Armstrong of the titles means they pass to the second best performer, who failed his drug tests.  Maybe that just means that Lance Armstrong is the better cheater, but it's still a frustration to me.

Also, if they're all doping, which is pretty much what the evidence they have against Lance Armstrong shows, then they were on a level playing field.

I think given the fact that Armstrong and team mates rode for the U.S. postal service (which is a federal agency) I dont see how it could have been avoided and must be accountable and before the doping was discoverd I cant remember any complaints of sponsership when he won and by this reasoning we should cancel the Ryder cup or the America's cup sailboat racing and the olympics.

Perhaps I'm being overly cautious but since my credit card was hacked I am taking no chances, who knows if some unseeing monitoring isnt recording your browsing and purchasing, credit card information the internet swings both ways. This could be a paranoid reaction perhaps...but then perhaps not.

This has occured a few times to me in the past I always trust my bank they have been around quite a while and have settled past disputes in my favor, there security is top notch all of the charges originated in the UK or there abouts and they stopped it cold and called me imediatly this will not deter me from using my credit card but I will stick with sites like Amazon and Musicians friend as I do have a Walmart card to purchase anything else.I did watch a documentry on methods thieves use to hack they sit in there cars with computers and intercept the credit card transations as there made at the stores but as soon as this is blocked another scam pops up next we will have to have a retna scan or fingerprint id to make a purchase to paraphrase Patton "oh how I hate the 21st century" (but not really lol ) life go's on oblah dee oblah da
I'll get over it smile

Some a hole hacked my credit card account number and purchased over 600 dollars worth of services but my bank security was on the ball and stopped all but ten dollars which I have to file a dispute form so they can go after this thief I just finished taking a sissors to my master card it will take a week to 10 days for a new one so it looks like I will be useing cash or writing a check  at least it looks like it will turn out ok,they recomended to scan my pc for any viruses so thats the plan hopefully it will be enough.

I am a new member of Chordie and have been entertaining a home studio for about 12 years.  I started with Cakewalk Home Studio and an old Packard Bell computer.   Not enough memory and disk space but I did manage to complete my first album after losing everything I worked on except for the mixed masters.    I have been playing 40 plus years in local bands on the weekends mainly as a bass player but I did do a few years as rhythm and small bit keyboards.
The album, "Initial Series - White Rock”, from which I have written all the material and played all instruments with the accompaniment of  a Alesis 16 drum machine.
It was released through Distrophonix on December 2010 after I had remixed and added some tunes.   I got away from the studio because I upgraded to Music Creator 3 and could never get anything to work right, then updated PC and latest version of windows but nothing ever would function properly.  I have since upgraded to a HP 6000 Pro and running XP Pro software and everything seems to be working great.   I have actually revisited one of my instrumental songs "Country Folk" and even added lyrics.   Who says you can't sing instrumental songs smile
Any who this is a sample of my latest revisited work and working on more!
Would appreciate any feedback, questions or recommendations about my work.

Rich as a first time poster adding links to CD's is not allowed, after you have shown some interest in Chordie and participated in discussions we have a Chordie market forum where you can post this information. keep in mind it will take more then just a few posts and any youtube link that has a link to your website where buying is an option will be deleted as well and may get you a ban and so you know I removed your links.
