Thank you everyone for your kind words and to Scott, Amy and Phill ( which will be posted as well soon) who all did beautiful covers, each in their own way - and all so very cool.

This is a link to the TV commercial I watched the night before I wrote this song, and what I was thinking of as I wrote it.

Angels are just people sometimes I believe.

Jim, that`s beautiful the way the male nurse deals with the little girl and the little girl is trying to be so brave.  That song they are singing i used to sing and do the hand movements with it when i was a kid with my friend when i was about 11 years old.........................i haven't heard of that song in years until last year when i looked after my great niece for a couple of weeks here and i taught her that song with the hand movements...... talk about memory lane smile

Beamer .................. had a listen, well done, a haunting version of Jim`s song.  I left a comment on your sound cloud (kiki Jan) in case you didn't realize that`s me.

mekidsmom ..........................Wow, wow, wow!!! fantastic take on Jim`s great song!  Love what you have done with it.  Don`t think i am going to put my version out now after hearing your one!, i was so impressed with it!  Sorry can`t comment on your sound click as i am not a member of that.

Wow - Kim

You have an outstanding voice.  If you and KikiJan ever get together with your voices and ukes - it would surely be fantastic !

Nicely done!

Jim, thanks, i am sure it would be fun too smile

Hi Kim, you have heard my music smile  I am Jandle on Chordie, and Kiki Jan on Soundcloud.    Dont know why i did that haha and yes a bit confusing for everyone smile

Oh once again it sounds like great fun, so wish i could make it over and join you all.  Mekidsmom, you have made it very welcoming and lots of fun.  I am very impressed with Roger Guppy making it all the way over from Portugal, wow.

Looking forward to hearing about it,  the photos and videos smile

Here's another great finger-style piece, this from Andy McKee with a skillful rendition of Toto's "Africa":

I roared with laughter at someone's comments on this:

Step 1: learn guitar
Step 2: watch Andy do this cover
Step 3: look up song tab
Step 4: smash guitar in frustration
Step 5: quit guitar
Step 6: go to law school

I think i am in the Step 1 through Step 6 catagory..........but oh love how Andy plays

Hi Kim,  wow i went through and listened to all your ukulele video`s on you tube and I am seriously impressed!  Your voice is awesome, love it smile  and i am really impressed with the whole self taught, learning and sharing online together idea, very inclusive to other people who would like to give it a try or learn.  I seriously cant get over how quickly you are picking up and learning strum strokes, making them your own and to write your own songs to boot!!!
Your story sounds similar to mine as in i never played an instrument until much later in life, started  4/5 years ago on the ukulele.  Had tried the guitar and still love my guitar but self taught and play it badly in comparison to ukulele which is much easier to play for me smile
Amazed at your original songs that you are already putting to music, wow, wow, watch this space!  I have only written 2 of my own songs so far, so already you are leaps and bounds ahead of me ........ makes me want to try write another one  smile
Looking forward to seeing what else you write and perform in your video`s ....... i haven't braved the video world yet.... mainly cause i haven't got a you tube account (how bad is that!) lol
Your newest fan smile

Fantastic ..... I loved it.
