As has been note many times around here, Used it Used no mattter how nice.  Its like a car. once you sign the line and drive off, its now used. and you will not get your money back ( except for the first 4 days by law), but one week later,, good luck getting retail for it.  So she bought it, then didnt like it. I bet if you call a shop and ask how much the trade in is,, its probably 150  or 175.  Im not saying to low ball her and be a bad guy,  but I definatly would not pay retail.

Nantucket was the big local band of my youth - they made a few albums - I actually saw them open for AC/DC in Dallas, TX - I was the only person singing every word of their songs. They've been making a comeback recently - saw them open for Heart a few years ago in Raleigh. Great fun-time band.

Hootie and the Blowfish also used to tour the local bars before they became big time - great Bar Band!

fast fret or finger ease are great for this,, however if you want the least expensive metod,, clean each string with rubbing alcohol by soaking some into a rag and then pinch teh string between and go up and dow to get off excess dirt, then get some mineral oil/ or lemon oil and put on a cotton rag (t-shirt) and then go up and down the fret board.  THis will moisturize the fret bod, clean the frets, and you lightly rub some on the strings and wipe the excess off.  This will do a lot for you.
(BTW - the main ingrediant in fast fret and string ease is mineral Oil.)
As noted ^, Even pros squeak on acoustic smile

#1 Then the ppl who are saying that do not  know a thing about you and your daughter. They may even be a tad Jellous.

#2 Did she have fun and have a sence of Pride and Accomplishment?  If yes, then its time for a Major Kudo's to be handed out to her. (Oh give her mine!)

#3 Way to many of us are "living the dream"  so I think when someone who is doing just that, see's a young person stepping out and making a dream happen, its the first thing they say.
(Ill admit to being guilty of that once or twice, and it was not pretty having to find out how I looked after it was made clear)

So to you J3 and the Trout! KEEP ON ROCKING AND CHASING THE DREAM! (and she has a set of parents who will back her up and help her when she falls down, that is the most imortant part!)

Do we get a sample listen somehow?

You need to find the nearest VA office or go on line and goggle the VA and you can sign up on line. You will need your DD 215(i think that is the number) it is your discharge papers. Of course there is a bit of paper work but you can get it done. There are a lot of caring people there to help you. DO NOT GIVE UP!! Good luck and keep me informed if you want to.

no worries

i left ya a coupple more but its probably just a restart of page issue.  have a good night

If budget is not a issue, like was said b4 Get A NEW PUTER and then ask the best guy you know at the local music store if he can come over, look at your room, tell him what you want to do and see what He says.

I have a budget set up that consistof my computer and a Berhinger 8 channel mixer and a nice berhinger condensor mic. I run everything to teh mixer then stero RCA to a 1/8th  (using a Y cable) into my sound card. for the monitors I run from my head phone out on the puter to the aux input on the  stereo beside my desk.  speakers are good and it reproduces good enough for my skill.

Once again if you have the $$EE to blow, you can get a work station and have all teh goodies.  I would bet you that someone would be glad to set you up a home rig.

What is a bridge

Can't hardly wait for this one

As best as I can describe it, its a instrumental that changes the pace between your main sections of a song. usually where a solo or two get put in.  Here is a link that may explain it better
http://musiced.about.com/od/othermusicg … forms4.htm

One of the easiest ones I can think of that is not Metal & one of my all time favorites is Taxi by Harry Chapin.  I think the main bridge is where he sings Ive got something inside of me..." and then the falsetto comes in w/ the lines "babys so high that she is flying" and then it goes back to the main story.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX9RjymQ1-4

as for metal  for the possible non- metal head,, this example is "MEGA CLASSIC" Victim of Changes. and here is the song structure as noted in WIKI:  CompositionThe song opens with a fade-in dual guitar passage that flows into the song's main riffs. A linear pattern is followed until the staccato section in the bridge. The song's first main guitar solo follows afterward, it is played by KK Downing. The bridge section finishes an goes into a lighter, more mellow section that soon intensifies. The second solo, played by Glenn Tipton, comes during the heavy section. The song returns to the main riff and finishes with Rob Halford's banshee-like screams. The song is written in the key of B minor

Even if your not a Metal guy,  This is more heavy blues based (on a side note Cheater is a JP song that is heavily blues laden with harmonica added in also) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9UM4N5sGBs

Hope this helps!
