I was in St Pauls and stopped at a bar called Maajors. They had a 3 piece group there with no guitarist, bass,keyboard and drums. The guys were pretty good, maybe check them out if you are over that way they play there on a Tuesday. The bar is on Snelling.

I have been playing guitar now for 2 years (self taught) and cannot read music. I now want to try my hand at songwriting. has anyone any tips for this, should I start with lyrics or melody. I have loads of melodies but nothing in the way of lyrics. Also is there any software anyone can recommend for recording and adding effects. I have been using van basco and midi tracks but would like to do my own.
