Just wondering if it possible to add songs or if they have to come from another web site?? If you can how, and if not will it ever be possible!?!?!

Or am I just being stupid not to have worked it out!?!?!?!?!?!

True, true. Unfortunately two small children and work only make it possible for a short amount of practice. I'm lucky that they like listening otherwise I'd probably have less time on the guitar than I do!!

Peace out!

Yes I attemp to play the mandoline. Mainly Irish tunes but have learnt R.E.M.s losing my religion. Lovely instrument to play but you really need someone on a guitar to balance it out a bit and make it easier to learn. I think unless you are a well accomplished mandoline player it sounds a bit flat on its own!!

Have also got a lovely 6 string banjo which is interesting to play. Strung the same as a guitar!!

If I want to go into my profile to update or change it, can I?

I must admit I,ve never been a great Elvis fan. I,ve always thought that what he was doing at the time was not original. I feel he just took what was happening in the black music scene and made it more accsesible to the populas as he was a white singer and there for more exceptable and profitable!!

Will probably cause a torant of abuse with this point of view but still we can't all love The (Burger) King!!

Too true. I wouldn't say my style of finger picking was technically correct, I can only use index, middle and ring fingers with my pinky supporting my hand on the guitar, but its passable and people who hear it think it sounds good so thats fine by me.

Have you looked on e-bay? You can buy a 4 track tape recorder for about

If you are going in for who has shaped and altered modern music the most then there can be no doubt that the Beatles are number one. No other band has influenced the shape of modern music as we now know it. From song writing to recording techniques, if it had not been for the Beatles we would be in a dark age of music!!!

Bob Dylan would have to come a close second just for his amazing song writing abilties. What a visionary!!

If its a particular lady you are trying to impress then a good idea would be to find out her favourite song/s preferably love songs, learn them and then seranade her. How could she possibly resist?!?!?!?!?!

Good song, Wish yo were here, Pink Floyd.

Great song if you can play all the intro and fills etc. as its a cool song and sounds great.

I think you will find that as long as you can play reasonable well and play tunes that people generally know and like anything goes.

Blackbird and Here comes the sun are great songs to start off basic finger picking as you should probably know what they sound like so with a little trial and error it shouldn't take to long to learn them.

I started with some basic 12 bar blues which gave me a good feel for the guitar when I was younger. Its simple to start with and easy to learn chord changes. I then progressed onto songs like green onions, just the basic 12 bar, then adding in riffs to build it up a bit. Good way to learn your way around the strings with a few simple riffs.

Early Beatles songs are pretty easy and everyone knows them so you don't have to try and pick up the tune. I think Bob Dylan has already been mentioned but again most are pretty simple to learn.

Does anyone in this world know where I can get a bridge for a wilson rappier 44?? They seem to be as rare as rocking horse ....... Please help guitar has been laid up for years and is in need of some tlc! <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">
