I think their harder personally... because the strings don't press as easily there.. less give.. might just be my guitar but A and D tending to be easier.

I'm a guy.. but still I'm bi so that makes me partly girl on the inside lol

either way welcome much luck, put in the effort and you'll be rewarded big_smile

The closest you can get without barring is B7

I have tried that site many a time but it never works

Practice till your fingers hurt, and then some. Its what I did, mostly cause I couldn't bring myself to put it down. try printing of a chord chart from t'internet and just working your way through it, hitting each chord till you've got all the strings pressed correctly, then move one to the next, it'll help point out the problems you have when pressing strings and will help with hand movements.

when your happy with it then select a chord progression and play it through several times, also vary the chords improvise chords you know.

Keep practicing.

Anyone who cares, I have played barre chords and practiced them so much I got ganglion on my wrist tendon, but don't you worry about that.

anywho, the best exersize I found was smoke on the water. Play, E, G, A,     E, G, Bm, A    E, G, A, G, E

Using barre chords for all notes apart from the E it helps you to form barre chords and move them up and down the board.

It's hard to decide, Green Day were my original Love because I saw them live. This led to exploration of music and I found bands such as nirvana and Dead Kennedies as well as lighter bands and classics such as guns 'n' roses however I first picked up a guitar april 30th inspired by Nirvana and Green days Good riddance time of you life. my biggest influence has been the red hot chilli peppers who have increased my enthusiasm and urged me to continue, I began to play electric a few months after beggining on acoustic and have recently picked up bass owing to the Chillis bass lines

I Know what it's like, I've learnt on acoustic guitar but I have also played electric guitar for the entire duration of learning, the biggest differences I find between the two are the strings, general thiner and lighter, and size, the electric guitar is gererally smaller in body which caused me to feel uncomfortable when playing at first. The best advice I can give is Keep playing the acoustic and borrow your brothers electric to play occasionally, and practice, A lot. It shouldn't be too difficult. as for picks can't help you I use a large variety of Pick for Bass, acoustic and electric it is purely down to preference, you may howver prefer smaller pick because you'll be used to having your fingers closer to the strings because you played acoustic and used your fingers to play.

Have Fun

I have been playing guitar for 8 months, I practiced far too often and I think myself to be a reasonably good player. It was extremely difficult at first but know I can hardly remember what I found difficult. My talents are still limited and I struggle with some faster songs but I am still plaesed with my progress, Practice works never give up!
