Hank Marvin...

My first guitar was a HORRIBLE telecaster copy with a 'Bigsby' type whammy unit.  I had a Shadows song book, so I sat down and wrote every note above the stave...then I made a diagram of the neck of a guitar and painstakingly learnt 'Apache' one note at a time...by 4 O'clock in the morning I had it 90% beaten.

All the best,

Phil

Well...

1. Hank B. Marvin. The first time I heard 'Apache', I was hooked
2. Duane Eddy.      Gotta love that 'twang'
3. Brian Setzer.      'Nuff said
4. Chet Atkins
5. Colin Pryce-Jones.  Who?...Lead guitarist of a London Band called 'The Rapiers'...and an old friend of mine.

All the best,

Phil

I've currently got a Korean Squier Strat...Black & White with Rosewood fingerboard.  I used to have an original early 60's Burns Marvin...which was stolen from my car (my own fault for leaving it there, I suppose).  That upset me so much I didn't touch another guitar for years.
