I don't have a picture, but I just got the StealthPedal by IK Multimedia. It rules-got a copy of AmpliTube Metal, and it works with my expression pedal so I have full control over all the pedals and effects. Only $200 to.

Has anyone heard about the new Amplitube Fender by IK Multimedia? They posted audio clips online and I was intrigued by what I heard. I love the Amplitube 2 software, this sounds a step above that even! Anyone else seen this?

howdy everyone, happy new year! I thought I would share some info I saw on the IK Multimedia website about their Amplitube plugin. They have created a new presets sharing site for users to post to. Its currently in beta mode, but they are looking for beta testers to try out the system. Lots of new presets available for download... in case you were lookin!

The information from the website tells you how to join..

Are you an AmpliTube power user? Upset that you missed out on the chance to be one of the 250 guitar warriors who are testing IK's newest AmpliTube Preset XChange beta program? Here’s your chance to join them!

Within 2 days of the launch of our beta Preset XChange, all 250 slots had been filled, and the number of uploaded presets is growing fast.  But due to overwhelming demand, we’re re-opening the beta program to an additional 250 AmpliTube users!

The AmpliTube Preset XChange will let all AmpliTube users find that perfect guitar or bass tone quickly and easily. Share your rig, and get access to presets from other 'Powered By AmpliTube' users as well as EXCLUSIVE VIP presets posted by your favorite musicians, before anyone else! With advanced searching functions and preset rating, exploring a limitless world of tone has never been easier.  Build X-GEAR presets by combining AmpliTube 2 Live, AmpliTube 2, Ampeg SVX, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix and AmpliTube Metal and show the world your creativity.

Post and share your 'Powered By AmpliTube' presets with the world and start it off right for its public launch early next year.

To be one of the first beta-testers you must be a registered 'Powered By AmpliTube' user. To join:

1. Access your User Area.
2. Click on the link "Take part in Preset XChange beta testing."
3. You will be redirected to a greetings page. Click the "Preset XChange" link.
4. Then start uploading and downloading presets!

Hi All,

Just have a look on You Tube at Jake Shimabukuro playing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" to see a master at work, fantastic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9mEKMz2Pvo)

I have seen this vid before, simply amazing! Learning to play Imagine and its quite inspiring to hear it played in such a different way. I love my uke!

Have you ever checked out IZ, short for Israel Kamakawiwoʻole  (RIP!) ? Great player w amazing voice from Hawaii. Check it.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL-uL2M3xvM

Walk my apologies, when you first posted this in the recording forum I visited the link page and was under the impression Amplitube was an effects unit for guitar so I moved it out of the recording section into this forum, after reading the additional posts I realized my mistake and I will request help in moving it back to where you first posted it as I am unable to shift topics in other forums but my own. again sorry for the mistake.Russell smile

hey fatstrings.. no problem. Ik finally announced their new release and it wasnt AmpliTube but what is called T-racks. Their mastering plugin, which is kinda cool. I dont do any 'pro' mixing so its no biggie right now, but ya.. there is so much software out there now its crazy. Plugins like Amplitube give just about anyone the chance to make some solid recordings at home, with minimal cost. Tis no better time than now to be recording....  minus the economy of course, but thats a whole 'nother thread! sad

Is it safe to assume, your a bass player... fatstrings?? smile

Hi Russ! No worries, been out of town and have not been back to visit in awhile. Guess it is old news now anyways... smile

- fatstrings.. u actually hear crickets where you live?! Man, you must not live in the city, I do, and I have not heard that sound forever! lol ..But ya, thats the whole reason I use AmpliTube, no outside interference in the mics and my neighbors dont come knocking at 2am either! What is the ARC software all about? I have seen it mentioned but not really sure..

Hi southpaw!

Unfortunately not, I have only had the pleasure of visiting the islands. That said tho, plans are being made already to go back!! I loved it there..

I had the intention of finding a Uke when I made my visit and found one for like $35-40 I think in a gift shop. Sounds great tho!

Working on some tunes with it now. Have you done any recording of a Uke? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that kath628, bummer! ^^  sad

I can tell you that playing lefty sucks, only cause no stores carry a nice variety of leftys! You can usually find 1 or 2 leftys, the basic models, that sound like poo. I am actually right handed but I play left handed. Reason being is that I broke my left arm in an ATV accident years ago and the arm just cannot twist all the way to manhandle a fretboard. When buying my gtr for the first time, the salesman reallllly pushed the righty to me, but it just did not feel right to play, so I went with my lefthander.

For beginners, use what feels good to you. In my case, it was my left hand and i think its pretty cool. So there! Plus my mom is a lefty and she likes that i play lefty. smile

Back on topic.. I have tried flipping guitars upside down for lefty use but to me, the knobs and such get in the way. Also, doing pinky volume swells is tough!!!

My 2 pennies worth..

What style do you want to play?? Some nice acoustic folk songs are easy and have open chords and slow strumming. Good place to start? If your a rocker, power chord away baby! Like the above poster said ^^ anything by the Ramones or Social D would be a good start.

There are lots of great tab sites around, PM me for a cpl.

Later!

Hi there, great web link! Thanks!

I am new to this forum and one of my new interests is a popular one here, the Uke! Just picked up my first Uke in Maui a few months ago and I love it. I have been a guitar player for several years, so the transition was smooth and its just so much fun to play. I love being able to carry it around and just jam anywhere..

Just wanted to say thanks for that link, been looking for some type of chord book!

Mahalo.
