I have just came across him through googling the dubliners and he is superb
This song reminds me so much o the old hogmanay parties in Scotland ,where there was some great  singers amongst yer auntie and uncles

Hi jamiejah ,

I had the great pleasure of being in this mans company many times years ago.
The hairs used stand up on my neck listening to him  singing or reciting live. He was so passionate in the way he sang
songs or recited poetry.

This has always been my favourite of his.  Raglan Road"  By Patrick Kavanagh" I still sing this myself when asked.
