I second that!!!! Its perverse, amusing and disgusting. The only problem I can see is most folks try to avoid seeing, hearing or possessing a Babbling Sphincter
Think about what kind of music you play, and what kind of people you are. Maybe "The Babbling Sphincters" doesn't work if you're (for example) 5 14-yearold guys that play ballads about juice. Weird example, I know, but my point is that if you think about your personalities and the kind of music you lay, the name will come by itself.
Or if you want to make it a bit easier, "The (number of members) Miracles" that always works.;)
Don't even try !! Something will come about naturally. When putting my most recent thing together I flatly refused to get involved in any kind of discussion about band names ..... I was on e-mail to the other person involved and she said " ok - we'll leave it for now. I gotta go cos the Coffee Fairy has just been " .... and that was the band named. Awful, twee, crap and totally unrepresentative of what we do but at least we didn't sit for 3 weeks with an open newspaper shouting out stuff like...

A lot of covers bands choose a line/phrase from a song that they do not and never will play "The Ruby Tuesdays" were very successful but when half went on to form "The Banana Splits" they weren't all that - could it be because they played that song???????
