This guy really takes the time to show people strumming patterns on the different song lessons clips he has on youtube.  I've some of the strumming threads on here and thought this might help.

Re: Having strumming problems? Check this out!

Yeah this guy is pretty good. I stumbled upon him a few nights ago following a link from a Clash website. He has a whole host of song lessons posted, and all of it is free. Woohoo!!

More power to him, I say.

Re: Having strumming problems? Check this out!

i was wathcing this guy a while ago, but after clicking on this link and seeing him again and then looking at more of his stuff, it looks like he has his own website. And I might be wrong but I think he is looking for money for  teaching online.

I hope I am wrong in my assumptions but I got that feeling that is the way he is leading.

if he has no other skill and cannot find a job, and cannot get in a band for a really good reason then good luck to him.

maybe I should go and tell him to come in here and give advice, thats if he doesnt already, hmmm, maybe he does???

d oyou?

lol

Ken

ye get some that are cut out for the job and others just get by from pretending

Re: Having strumming problems? Check this out!

Seen a few of these guys videos on youtube and checked out there website.

I decided to investigate a bit farther. I even registered on the site for there newsletter type thing. Have had 2 emails so far on how to play 2 songs. Both pretty good and free.

However, like Ken, I am still a bit wary and can definitely see this leading to lessons for cash. This is not the case so far though and I'll be making the most of it while I can. That's not to say that any fee for these lessons would be a con because they are good in my view. Just be careful.

Is anything really made up of zeros and ones??

Re: Having strumming problems? Check this out!

There is a fee for the full lessons on his site.  His website has been up and running for a couple of weeks now.  I'm not paying for lessons but only because I can't afford them.  But if you price private lessons by the hour and then figure you can have access to any of his stuff 24/7, it could be well worth it.  And don't dog a guy for good promotion of his enterprise.  He is in a band and conducts real lessons as well.

Re: Having strumming problems? Check this out!

I too found about this site from this message board. The lessons are well explained, and you can hear the lesson 100 times a day if you want to.

Honstly I dont mind paying for good content.  Additionally I travel a lot and it is really convenient.

I think the cost was 130.00 for a year.  I could not get a month of lessons for that.
