Chords & Tabs

ok, I am totally new to the world of music & I am doing this for a friend that is incarcerated & he is learning how to play the guitar while he is there......How the heck do you & can you print the chords & tabs together? What is the difference in the 2? For example I am trying to get him the music & lyrics for Rage Against the Machines killing in the name....& all I get is 4 links ...2 chords & 2 tabs....but they are also done by other people...is there anyway to get the originals for free? Dumb question I know....please help me help him!!! Thank you
