Topic: No Band, Just Me at a crowded Open Mic

Live performance at a very crowded open mic; I was very nervous, made a few mistakes and didn't sing out too well, but, it is what it is, me!

Hey Jim... that link kinda takes you to Youtube in a round about way... via facebook.  Here's the direct link to YouTube and the song for those interested:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_BnXPBznQ4

Very nice job Jim!  Honestly, I think you could just slow down a little - maybe even do a little practice with a metronome to keep you on track - you're gonna only get better and better!  Nerves of course will mess with anyone!  smile  I'm proud of ya and it sounds very nice!

Good job, Jim.  I liked it.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

That takes a ton of courage and you did a great job. You should be nothing BUT proud of your self. Well done!!!!

I used to be disgusted; now I try to be amused.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Jim. This is a first outing and you recorded it. There are bound to be things you see that make you cringe. This is not a bad thing. You can start working on some things right away. Next open mic you gonna be a mean little threat to really make 'em smile.
Any improvement in your performance proves you are doing well to stay at it and keep coming back with more.
Go get 'em tiger.

Thanks for all the usual support you guys give here on Chordie!  I keep trying to get better, but everyday I find out more and more that I don't know and just makes me want to learn even more.  I am enjoying this for sure.  Thanks again for the nice comments.
