Topic: Is my fender a squier or the real deal.

I have a 1996 strat.Maple fingerboard with the skunk stripe.The headstock has a black fender logo and says made in mexico.I called fender and they told me the year from the serial number.They didnt say it was a squier.It plays like a dream and is my main electric. I have seen others with the black fender logo.Is it a real fender or did I get  @#$%&.aNY ANSWERS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Thank you in advance  Joe                  Also, it does not say squier anywhere on it.I have put it next to squiers and I cant see anything to make me believe otherwise

jjj I have a stratomex and it sounds every bit as good as one made in the usa. alot of the other members here have them also.
