Topic: acoustic bands

I like to know and learn a lot here.

My topic is: who is the best acoustic group.

I can only give you 2 names: Crosby, Stills, Nash & (or not) Young.

Also Bob Dylan, in the beginning, and later, mixed with electric.

If I am not wrong, also Richie Havens.

- MY GUITAR PLAYS EVERY STYLE = BLUES, ROCK, METAL, so I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY IT.

Re: acoustic bands

Just saw Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades acoustic concert the other night. It was amazing!

Check them out if you get a chance.

Re: acoustic bands

Local to Seattle, there is a group called Oval League.  Really good.  All acoustic.

Re: acoustic bands

Violent Femmes, Simon & Garfunkle, Robert Johnson all do great accustic rock, folk, and blues.

"Nobody paints by ear so why would I play guitar by sight?" hmm

Re: acoustic bands

Got tae agree with Simon and Garfunkell.

Plenty of good uns out there, but for me they were pretty much in a league of their own.
