Hi all has anybody got a suggestion of where i can get the acoustic version of Cat Stevens song Father and son with a suggested strum pattern a basic version would be great thanks for your help

Here's a tab with the chords. As for strum pattern can I suggest you play what feels right to you, Cat Stevens played this finger style.

There's a real good version with picking pattern and strum pattern in the lesson book series The Complete Guitar Player Songbook Omnibus Edition.  There are a number of other songs that work on developing your skills in that book too.  I highly recommend it.
