Welcome to the forum.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfzGhyx3R_U

The song is in the key of A.
The main chord of the song is A, and in the verse he changes to E for a beat and then back to A.  Example: "... (E)to come (A)back" at 0:37.

The chorus can be played as:
(A)long (D)long (E)long (A)gone (X2)
It won't sound quite the same as the recording unless you use a descending bass line, which would be best played on (wait for it) a bass.

Anyway, that's my ear.  Good luck with it.
