Topic: RIP Mr. King

Woke up to news that legendary guitarist B.B. King has passed.

Live in the "now" - a contentment of the moment - the past is gone - the future doesn't exist - all we ever really have is now and it's always "now".

Re: RIP Mr. King

And another legend leaves us. sad

RIP

A great ambassador for music

Thick as two short planks

Re: RIP Mr. King

He was one of my favorite early blues artists

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

B.B. King, Rest In Peace.  The Blues has a reason to be sad today.

Re: RIP Mr. King

BB King will always be the KING OF THE BLUES.

I am glad to have seen/heard him play live.

HE WILL ALWAYS BE AN INSPIRATION TO GUITAR PLAYERS!

Re: RIP Mr. King

I met BB a few years ago. We had a ten minute conversation privately. I told him he was one of the reasons I started playing. He asked "and when was that?" I said when I was 5. He said "I didn't start until I was 14. By the time you're my age, you'll be a lot better than me." Hilarious. Classy guy.
