Topic: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

Having seen your collection of gear, I for one, am looking forward to hearing you play. I don't know your real name, so haven't been able to find anything on YT. Got anything posted, new friend? wink

Re: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

Hello Bill.

I started a soundcloud page yesterday. I haven't put anything up yet...but soon.
Today is our band day so I've been kinda busy. I'll get something up there soon and I'll let you know when. I'll try to make some noise on there tomorrow.

Thanks for asking.

Rick

Re: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

I like to support you guys and ladies when I can and as long as I can.

My drumming is better than my guitar playing and my drumming sucks, so you can see why I don't post any links. I'll just enjoy your music, Rick. smile

EDITED TO ADD: Damn! First time the devil ever let me down. It's supposed to look like a red devil with horns which means I am, like Til Eulenspiegel, a VERY naughty boy! wink

Re: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

Yeah Ricky Jack now on soundcloud. Welcome.
After he posted that he can`t write a song we`ve been  supporting & encouraging him.
Something tells me there`s one in the works.

Re: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

Hey..you guy's are great.

Bill with his encouragement (he noticed I ran of breath on one of the verses),..hey I'm getting old and don't have what I used to. Take 2 will be better...I hope.
And Brian with all those good ideas..he is a song writing machine. Along with those uke friends of his way down under....Good people.

I feel blessed to have you all as friends....Music a wonderful thing.

I'll try to get something else up tomorrow.

Rick

Re: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

He's very talented, as are all of you, easybeat.

Just think: If each of us took, say, a quarter of the people who send in songs/poems --- whatever ----- and listened - really listened -  we might come up with a new Beatles!

I was a DJ working my way through college in the late 60's - early 70's (long story coming up, so go brew your tea, you buncha......friends) and the number of 45's (anyone remember those) sent to our stations was phenomenal. AT least 50 a day trying to get some airplay, some sending notes, all of them hoping for that big break.

During my breaks, (when a record was playing) I'd always play one of the tunes they sent me on the turntable which wasn't playing and listen.

Usually, those folks sent a postcard for my reply.

Did any of them make it big?

Hellifino.

But I sure did send 'em a note on that card.

Every time. I felt if they cared enough to send their best to me, I owed them at least an honest appraisal and friendly answer.

Re: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

I don't care what they say about you Bill..you're still a good guy in my book...I'm happy for you that you found a happy pill.

This is a good site....I've known that for years.

I've got one in the works Brian...thanks to you.

Ya'll sleep well..I hope.

Re: ATTN: Mr. RickyJack?

I hope I always will be, Rick.

Now that I can barely even paradiddle a liddle, my instrument of choice - nope not that one either - is the guitar and songwriting.

That's why I like to pay close attention to you and the others and try to help.

And it is a good site, thanks to Herr Rickard Andersson, who supports it, so we do not have to.

All the best to you, Rick
