https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-KfxA-oxn4

Here's a couple tracks from Spencer's 2016 album "Unspoken". Couldn't decide which one to share, so had to put them both up. big_smile I love the aggression in his style, and he's a doggone fine guitarist as well. Enjoy!

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Grayson Erhard   "Cave"   (original composition & performance)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1f2wimr0sM

Another one of the amazing talents being promoted by Candyrat Records. Acoustically, this was the obvious setting for this song.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Owen Van Larkins   "Outback Storm"   (original composition & performance)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnVR5Pwcsbo

It's bitter cold here this morning, so thought a visit to warm & sunny Australia was in order. Great playing, and terrific recording and filming also. Apparently, Owen got a leech on his foot from standing in the swamp. Dedicated? Nuts? You decide.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Coldplay   "Talk"   (arranged & performed by Antoine Dufour)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbSKVqPOVjo

Antoine is often referred to as the "gold standard" by other finger-stylists ... incredible technique ... so very smooth.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Eva Atmatzidou   "Planet Unplanned"   (original composition & performance)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjByOOOF7Ho

A very "Mediterranean" feel to this piece from Eva. Superb guitarist from Greece, who successfully blends a variety of styles and techniques into her work ... love the originality.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Dire Straits   "Sultans of Swing"   (arranged & performed by Andrea Valeri)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KsVtD01cgw

Introducing Italian guitarist Andrea Valeri. He began playing at 13-years-old, and in just 3 years he caught the attention of the great Tommy Emmanuel. He was encouraged to pursue music as a career, and released two full albums before turning 20. Now at just 26 years old, he is considered on of the top fingerstylists in the world.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Tenement Funster  thank you for posting this one. I enjoyed it and watching  Andrea Valeri play. Also noticed he used a thumb pick and think on the steel string  it enhanced his bass strings.  I often practice with my eyes closed  and noticed he played most of this song with his eyes closed. If you know your guitar and what you are playing you do not have to look at your guitar to play.

Gabriella Quevedo & Tommy Emmanuel   "Joky & Classical Gas"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQHVzFLsfZ8

Great picking, and lots of fun! Ms. Quevedo has lots of finger-style covers up on YouTube, and she's an exceptionally talented young lady ... enjoy!

Thomas Leeb   "Akaskero"   (original composition & performance)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEBVpB8jNXA

A beautifully atmospheric piece from Thomas, again showcasing his delicate touch and technique. And it's easy to imagine laying in the grass at a riverside ..

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Don Ross   "Dracula"   (original composition & performance)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T-MdAQyocE

Just love the way this one grooves right along .. can't keep still. Probably a good thing when the Count's out and about ... yikes

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Tobias Rauscher   "Off the Path"   (original composition & performance)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vReZjXOuzDc

Hier gibt es noch viel mehr Gitarre aus Deutschland. Germany's Tobias Rauscher shows some more of his skill, with this lively piece. The words on his little lamp behind him say "Be the First", but I have no idea what he's referring to ... my German is very rusty.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Ozzy Osborne's   "Bark at the Moon"   (arranged & performed by Benjamin Woods)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWIof1H765M

Ben plays covers of many "heavy metal" songs, in his signature "fla-metal" style. I watched some of his reviews of Cordoba guitars a few years ago, when I decided to buy one for myself. Good guitars, and a great guitarist ... enjoy.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Benjamin Woods   "Tarantula"    (original composition & performance)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoHOe40w62g

Flamenco guitarist Ben Woods does some amazing arrangements of "heavy metal" music, and shows his chops here in this original work. I watched one of his instructional videos on basic Flamenco technique, and was terrifyingly intimidated.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Henry Mancini   "The Pink Panther"   (performed by Tommy Emmanuel)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUoxlagDVlo

Tommy tears it up with this enjoyable classic. He's a "full body guitarist", and really gets into everything he does ... fun to watch and listen to, and probably a great way to stay fit.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

ABBA   "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!"   (performed by Judith Beckedorf & Soenke Meinen)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKDzMAXBabE

Some more beautiful playing from Ms. Beckedorf, joined by another terrific German guitarist, Soenke Meinen ... amazing chemistry.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Wow! Very nice performance by those two, Rick!!! I loved Abba, but never knew much about their band, so now I know where all that beautiful guitar sound comes from. I notice the ladies have some other tracks listed on YT as well. I will be checking those out asap. Thanks again, my friend!

Great Find. He reminded me of  Kramer from Seinfeld in looks, not how he played.

The bearded guy at the outset is luthier Jean Larrivee, the man behind Larrivee guitars.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Michael Jackson   "Billie Jean"   (arranged & performed by Alexandr Misko)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx4okVd3K14

This guy has a nice groove going for this song. I can't help but notice how "out of place" he looks in this environment. The locals in the background are enjoying brews and snacks, and seem like a middle-aged blue-collar bunch ... the guitarist doesn't seem to fit.

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

Antonio Vivaldi   "Summer"   (arranged & performed by Laura Lace)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVa37f67Hnc

This amazingly talented young lady from Riga, Latvia looks to be in her mid-teens, but plays like a seasoned veteran. She's obviously had terrific training, has put in lots of hours of practice, and seems to be one of those "wunderkind" who comes along every so often to amaze us. Enjoy!

Re: Tuesday's Flying Fingers

TF
that is astounding.

me thinks you underestimate the # of hours she put in.

It was beautifully FLAWLESS !

Tobias Rauscher    "Passion Loop"    (original)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSgQGy9xrV0

Beautifully played, Herr Rauscher also shows us how he's building the layers of this piece with his Looper & Delay pedals. This is "lay-back-with-the-headphones-on" music ... dreamy.

FLAWLESS guitar playing !  Beautiful performance, so soothing and relaxing to listen to.
