Topic: 2 videos of our concert

Hello!

I didn't post for a while on chordie ^^'
I'm glad to show you the 2 songs I played and sang, it was my first concert so go eazy on me ^^

Here goes the story :
I've been to several gigs of a band called "Dust'N'Rain" and they wanted to do something special for the 4th of July. So they searched American singers... Though it's not easy in Belgium!
They knew I was half US and I play guitar and sing so they invited me

After 2 rehearsals we were ready!

It was a great experience! Before that, I never played with a band... I hope I'm gonna find mate, I have 6 original songs and couple of covers I like to do...

I'll soon buy new stuff and post more content on my youtube channel.

Great job man! Impressive that you didn't tighten up for your first time on stage. Seemed very relaxed.

Botth videos were really good and you did seem very relaxed. CurtRHCP you should be proud of those performances.

CurtRHCP your heading in the right direction. The band and you work well together it easier sometimes  to beat yourself up when you do something in public.Don't do that because you have the talent. I enjoyed your video. Muscians always notice little things  about themselves which most people in an audience don't notice. Man you did a excellent job. Nicely put together band you can go places as a group.   Keep that belief that you can do it and you will  acquire the capacity to do it even better then what your doing now.

Sounds good to me.

The first time I went on stage it was a disaster. I forgot lyrics, couldn't grab hold of the chords. It was embarrassing. The next time was 25 years later and I didn't think twice about it. I was better as a player the second time around so maybe I had a bit more courage.

In October I'm gonna buy an acoustic amp and an electro-acoustic guitar + micro, like this I could play live. I could also meet people and maybe future band mate.
Because at this gig I only came with my guitar, all the instruments, cables, micros, are own by the band. The main singer of Dust'N'Rain owns a musical store, we never miss equipments ^^

I didn't know it before the concert, the drummer is professionnal, he lives of his music, he has several bands. With hindsight, I think it was better I didn't know it xD

I don't know if I look relax, though I hadn't the choice, I had stress, mainly when singing the first song (Ride Me Down Easy), I was more enjoying the stage when singing the second song and I definitely know I wanna do more concert smile

Enjoyed both videos, a very laid back and relaxed performance, and it looks like the dancers were also enjoying themselves. Please keep us posted, i'm in Belgium later this year, who knows, i may. Get a chance to come and see you.
