Topic: Gm/F Chord

Does anyone here knows how to play the Gm/F Chord ?

Re: Gm/F Chord

Usaully the note after the / means that the root note of the chord has been changed. In this case to F.

Best I can come up with is simply barring across strings 1 - 4 at the 3rd fret and muting the 5th and 6th strings. i.e. XX3333.

Is anything really made up of zeros and ones??

Here's another; E/1 A/x D/x G/3 B/3 E/3= (1XX333)

No charge for the lesson.........

Give everything but up.

Yours is the same as David's. :-p You just aren't using strings 5 and 6.

Re: Gm/F Chord

Who the hell dreams up these chords? I would ask the Bass player to kindly play a higher register  F over my Gm before I stressed myself to much. If I cant grab it with my thumb or stretch without discomfort--I will find a way to simplify; after all, it's been my experience that the only one who knows that I am playing a Gm rather than a Gm/F...is me. Of course, there are exceptions.

Re: Gm/F Chord

Nah, you can hear it. Its a nice chord, if a little odd.
