Topic: 50 years

I thought I would post a more positive and non-depressing one I have been writing.

50 years and I open my eyes

see the sunset and watch it rise.

Where I"m going,

you would think I could see

and as a young man , not a clue what would become of me.

all the care bears were my friends

having good times

and playing music till the end

Years went by and  we never became super stars,

now we are scattered near and far

Technology has come such a long way

and the friends I thought lost,

and ones i have never met,

are but a mouse click away.

Re: 50 years

Good work, Beamer ... it's great that music lovers like you and I can share ideas about music (with the rest of our fellow Chordians), even though we're thousands of miles apart and may never meet.  Glad you found something encouraging to think about! smile

Re: 50 years

You've managed to put down in words what I've been thinking about for quite a while. As you get older, well I at least, tend to contemplate a lot about my younger days and missed opportunities.
A very thought provoking poem, well written and entertaining. Thanks for sharing.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.
