Topic: first bombard

Only Hits
i only listen to the hits
guitar riffs the best bits
same 4 chords going round
like a bus around our town
turning down no side streets
so reliant on computer beats
a lyric that says    not a lot
meaning of which i forgot!

Nice tidbit of a rhyme that is spot on about so much music lately.
There is a lot of great music, but a large percentage is exactly      how you describe it.

Good to see you posting.

Reminds me of that joke - what is the difference between a rock player and a jazz player? The rock player plays 3 chords to 10,000 people, and the jazz player plays 10,000 chords to 3 people! smile

Re: first bombard

This is exactly what's been bugging me for quite a while. I thought at first it was just rap music...two words that were never meant to be spoken
in the same sentence! Then along came electropop...think of a catchy line then repeat over a heavy bass and drum track until your brains turn to mush. These days there are some songs that are worth listening to, but not many, sadly. This could be an effect of my age. Never the less Brian an excellent poem.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: first bombard

A good first Bombardment easybeat lol.   And very true, so many that are reliant on computer beats and easy to forget lyrics. Having said that, I do like some of the computer beats and other stuff put together by computers but for me, you can't beat a good old-fashioned band playing.
