I read that Frank cultivated his famous phrasing by building his lung power – swimming underwater laps at local pools and jogging "before it was fashionable," so he could take imperceptible breaths as he crooned.

Nice song Brian,
Frank has one of those voices that when your in your car or a nightclub, and you hear a song being sung by him,
you NEVER have to
ask " who is that singer?"

He and a limited number of others have that remarkable uniqueness.  In the Johnny Cash Movie called " I Walk The Line, producer Sam Phillips laid it on the line about what songs are great and what separates musicians from the crowd of wannabee's .
