Topic: Transpose and Chordpro

I LOVE Chordie! It has become my go-to site for getting chords and lyrics for almost every song I can think of. I found one problem though: I really like that I can get Chordpro syntax embedded in the lyrics. This allows me to cut & paste into my tablet for my Setlist Helper. BUT if I transpose to another key, it's not reflected in the Chordpro display. Maybe not a bug, but it would really be a much appreciated enhancement.

Re: Transpose and Chordpro

Make sure you get the chordpro formatted song for your external application - it's under the "eye" icon and should have the chords within square brackets and in-line (eg " ... this is a [G] song ... ").

Re: Transpose and Chordpro

Thanks for the reply, sorry it took so long for me to see it!
The problem is still there. I start by switching to the Chordpro display, then when I hit a transpose button, the display goes back to the normal chords-above-lyrics display including the transposition. But then when I switch to Chordpro display it does not show the chords transposed.

How can I get transposed Chordpro that I can copy?

Re: Transpose and Chordpro

go to edit     copy it

Re: Transpose and Chordpro

The transpose should be done in your external program (ie SetList Helper) .. it doesn't matter what key you import it in, the ChordPro format maps the relationship between the chords in the song (kinda like a Nashville chord system). After you import (or copy/paste), you can change the key which will shift all chords to their new value.
