Topic: Scale/chord relations

Hi

Have been working at this for some time now and getting nowhere. I know that somewhere there is a rule so that whatever chord you play you know which fret is the root note of the corresponding scale. Don't know if I explained that very well but hopefully you get the idea.

OPEN THEY ARE BOTH E,,,1ST FRET,,F ,2ND FRET,,F# (SHARP),G , G# A , A#/BFLAT , B , C , C# ,D, D#, E.

5TH STRING OPEN IS AN A,,THEREFORE,,1ST FRET ON THAT STRING IS AN A#/BFLAT , B , C ,C# , D , D# AND SO ON,,SEE THE PATTERN YET,,,

SO 1ST FRET ON 2ND STRING IS A C, FOLLOWED BY A C#

WHEN YOU PLAY A CHORD YOU INCORPORATE THE ROOT NOTES SOMEWHERE WITHIN THAT CHORD,,,HOPE THIS HELPS,,,HOPE THIS POSTS THIS TIME,,,DOH!!!!!!!
