Topic: how to play these chords?

what are the most common ways of playing Asus, Asus2, B power and C# power? And what exactly does 'asus' mean and what does 'power' mean?

And if someone knows how to play Over You by Daughtry, could you tell me what strum pattern you use? Thanks!

Re: how to play these chords?

Asus2 = x--            Bpower = x--                  C# = 4--
            o--                            x--                           6--
            2--                            4--                           6--
            2--                            4--                           6--
            0--                            2--                           4--
            x--                            x                              x

I was taught to play a B power chord that way I think it is really called a B5. Sus I believe it means suspended. As far as what power means I think it means you just play the first 3 lower notes for a deep full powerful sound.

well done ebigham

Re: how to play these chords?

"Power chords" are just intervals of a perfect 5th.  Play the root and the 5th of whatever note is supposed to be powered up, and that's what you'll get.

Someday we'll win this thing...
