Topic: LEGENDS!!!

I love the guitar! im a bit of a geek so i even love the history of the guitar! im interested in getting some cd's of some good guitarists. i have santana (of coarse!) , earl klugh, I LOVE JOHN FRUSCIANTE! (im actually stalkerishly obsessed with him.) and i was wondering who else are the greats? and who should i be looking for?    also who else loves John frusciante?

Here are some masterful musicians who happen to play guitar: Leo Kottke, John McLaughlin, Django Reinhardt, Andres Segovia.  There are Wikipedia articles about each of these men.

yep i love the chilis and john's style, but also cant remember his name but the guitarist from "living colour"


then theres, clapton, angus young, randy rhodes, eddie van halen, page, hendrix ( not for his playing but his style)


lots more I have not mentioned, I still got a hangover lasting two days after scotland beat france at football.

Leo Kottke? Nobody else i've ever encountered knows who he is.

mmm, that's weird, I've never met anyone who doesn't know who Leo Kottke is. You'd be doing yourself and your musical horizons a great service to do a little research on Mr.Kottke.

He just did a recording last year I think with Mike Gordon Bassest of Phish.
I have it, quite interesting.
