Topic: Geetar 44 years Luv the Site

Hi all,I'm new here.....Just registered today.

I like the site,I don't do much "Tab" stuff but I may have a few songs to add to the list here.

I Love chord theory....and I haven't seen an Augmented 11th listed in any of the charts as of yet....I know a few songs that use that wonderful chord.

I may send up a kewl version of "Stardust" that uses it.

Anyways...hi to all.

Re: Geetar 44 years Luv the Site

hi perz and welcome to the site.

playing for 44 years eh? good to hear, maybe you can help others out with all the questions or feel free to ask questions.

I noticed you say about puting something on the site?, chordie is a search engine that browses thru other sites. Hoewever you can still add the songs if they are on another site.

Not too sute about the chord chart thingy you were saying, Pere ( the admin) is best person to sort that

Welcome Perzactly,

You are definitely beyond my chord theory level. Explain it to me really slowly, and I will try to fix it fast..<img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">

Re: Geetar 44 years Luv the Site

Hi,

An Augmented 11th is kind of like a flat 5 chord....but it's voicing buildup is the key.(#5 = flat 4) same thing almost.

Caug11 consists of the root C,3rd,5th,7th,9th,11th flated of course.

In the key of C play this,I'm not great at Tab but....

I believe you type string then fret correct?

6/3 5/3 4/2 3/3 2/3 1/2

Notes would be G,C,E,Bflat,D,F#

The Little River band also used that chord in the song Reminiscing.

Has a wonderful haunting sound.

Some people say when they dont understand something it is "double dutch" to them, well this is quadrupled dutch, multiplied by 502 dived by 28 and add 7 to me.

Ilike the chords I know  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_lol.gif" border=0 alt="Laughing">
