Topic: Electric Guitar

I have been playing for 5 weeks now and have an accoustic guitar.

My friend has an Electric Guitar and i wish to play on this he has no experiance and cant play. It is outof tune badly and i have a korg chromatic tuner CA-30. Could someone tell me the Hz settings for an Electric Guitar as i know the accoustic is 440Hz many thanks and by the way i like this site i can play various songs which u have made easier like Hotel calafornia on Accoustics thanks V much

I hope to learn a lot more and get some general advice from u all.

I dont understand tabs yet but will speak to someone once im profitient in chords

look forward to an answer

Re: Electric Guitar

Unless you're specifically looking for alternate tunings, electrics are tuned to the same (EADGBE) pitches as your acoustic.

Have fun.

Re: Electric Guitar

440 is the standard pitch, you're unlikely to bump into anything else.

Good luck with the chords (particularly F and B) ;-)
