Topic: Meeting Michael Moore tomorrow and giving 10 songs to him

If all goes as planned I will be attending a Michael Moore speaking engagement tomorrow where he gets an award. A friend of mine is moderating and has me on the guest list. Some of you may remember that I submitted 3 songs to Michael Moore for his movie Capitalism, A Love Story. Unfortunatley I was too late in the game they were already in post production and decisions had been made.

So I plan on giving Michael Moore a 10 song CD tomorrow of what I call "Modern Folk Songs For Our Modern Times" I chose each of these songs because they have something to say about social issues in this country as well as our economic plight. Some, like Tent City and Child Without A Home, are even topical and straight from the headlines.

Yeah it's simply disgusting that Moore is working day and night to defeat the corporate war mongers. And what right do our working poor have to health care?


That fat perick should stick to eating tacos and supporting more tax giveaways to ner-do-well trust funders.

Gil,

Appreciate your effort.  I could never pull that off.  The guitar was cool.  But,  I am not sure what those tunes have to say about social issues or whatever.  Good deal of "coveting thy neighbor's ass".   I listened to as much as a minute of each track.  Couldn't take much more.  I will say the songs sound like they will be right up Mr. Moore's alley.

Ok - This thread has lived it's life. It was 2 months old and buried before Holycats resurrected it. I can only see political discussions deriving in the future and these subjects should be avoided in this forum (I am as guilty as any). This thread is now closed.
