Topic: Chord Pattern when printing Songbook

Hi all,

first I like to say a big "Thank You" to everybody who helps to run Chordie. This place is simply great.

In the last months I collected some hundred songs that I like to print. At the end of every song are the chord pattern used in the song.

Is there any way to not have them printed, because I don't need to be rembered how e.g. a C or a F ist played.
And removing hundeds of them manually in a word processor is quite tedious.

At least I would like it best if the chord patterns were mentioned at the end of the songbook once each.

Thanks in advance ,)
Greetings from Germany.

Cheers,
Friedel

welcome to chordie friedel,I think you are the first member I have seen on the forum from Germany. I do not think you can take the chords off,but Iam not sure, oneof our moderators will most likely see this and tell you for sure either way.

Hi Friedel and welcome to Chordie,

After you have selected 'print' from the song page and before you actually print the song look at the top right of the page. There you will see the three letter 'A's' to alter the size of the print and the print command tag but to the left of these is a white box that says "grids right", click on the down arrow beside this and you will see you can select "grids left" or "no grids". The "grids" are the chord shapes so select "no grids" and then print.

Re: Chord Pattern when printing Songbook

Hi Roger,

thanks for your answer.

The way you described works well when you like to print a single song. But when printing a whole songbook (my songbook --> select all --> view/print songbook) I don't have the option to show or hide the grids. Is there any way to use your way on a songbook?

@dino:
I am quite sure that there a many Germans using Chordie (at least I know 3 who do :-) ). But maybe none of them had problems or questions so far ,)

Cheers,
Friedel
