Topic: chord identifier?
New to chordie, is there a way to post a chord and have it identified? I'm not a reader just an inventor/player. Such an application would be really great.

Hi sue and welcome to Chordie. As I'm computer challenged I don't know how you could do that, but, here's a link that may help. There is a midi file so you can not only see the chord but you can hear it also. http://www.8notes.com/guitar_chord_chart/ They have some other cool stuff if you go to their homepage. Hope this helps. Butch
Thanks Butch - I'm no genius on the computer either really. I will check this out. I haven't been able to find these chords anywhere else. Sue
Hi Sue and welcome to Chordie from me too.
I like this site: http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/chord_name.php you can just click where the strings are played and it will tell you the chord. Or click on the ' guitar chords' on the header and you can find how to play the chord you select and it's variations.
