Topic: { a }

Hi All you experts,

I love John Denvers song " This  Old Guitar " I Have Taken the Chords and transposed them to suit myself!  How should this { a ]    be played ? It just does not sound right to me?  i have been given other chords but cannot manage them!  This is the only problem i have with it?
Now when you have all picked yourselves up off the floor from laughing!
  Can anyone Explain  this  to me please! "Thank You Chordians".

Re: { a }

Hey there old doll I donn't know the song but I have a cool way of playing an A and here it is    ................ XX765X............ tell me if it works

what a long strange trip it's been

Re: { a }

There is also a version printed in TAB form. From that it looks like it may be X00020. I think it may be A7sus4. I don't really know the song either but, worst case scenario, I can only be wrong.
Keep messing about with it and I'm sure you'll find something that fits for you.

Is anything really made up of zeros and ones??

Re: { a }

Hi Old Doll,

I have checked the version you copied from the Songs section and the reason you are struggling is that the chords are not correct. I have therefore put an amended version on My Songbook for you at:

It is in D but you can transpose it to G which is the key I think you want.
