Re: Happy 71st Mr. Dylan

I don't really care for Dylan's music. I know he has influenced so many artists and is held as a legend, but for me not so much.

But happy b-day to him. May he keep doin' what he's doin.

Keep Rockin!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Happy 71st Mr. Dylan

Happy Birthday Bob. Thanks for "To Make You Feel My Love" which has become my current signature tune smile.

Happy B-day Bob. Too many songs to pick a favorite. He inspired so many of us to be songwriters. Moss doesn't grow on a rolling stone.

One of my all time favorites.  Happy Birthday Bob.

You can see all my video covers on http://www.youtube.com/bensonp1000
I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

Re: Happy 71st Mr. Dylan

My favorite of his is Tangled Up In Blue.  Among my least favorite is The Hurricane.  Both long story songs.  Go figure.

Just a couple of old friends strumming their way through a rehearsal. One with a Martin D28 (probably), the other with a Gibson J200. Happy Birthday, Zimmy! RIP George.

Hank repleis, after a short pause: "Well, what else is there?"

Re: Happy 71st Mr. Dylan

Quite possibly the best song writer that ever lived. I can't pick a favorite song by him, impossible to do.

Gee, I wonder why? smile

Not a big Dylan fan, but I understand and appreciate what he's done for music.  The link happens to be my favorite Dylan tune.

Side note:  I heard an interview with Charlie Daniels on the radio this morning while I was on a long drive, and Charlie gave Dylan some big props.  Said he's one of the greatest American poets who has ever lived, cited him as an influence, etc. etc.

Re: Happy 71st Mr. Dylan

Everyone should give a listen to "Desire" I wore out several vinyl LP's and  still listen to it in the new digital age, it is his Best IMO , I don't Love everything Bob has done but he sure has given Acoustic players like myself some Great songs to Cover. He also got me started playing harmonica .........
